A trailer will be shown during the NFL Draft on ESPN, April 28th.

It's on the front page, below the scrolling news. I clicked the link which lead to me nowhere.

Interesting. COD games have always been solid fun imo but they're jumping into the modern combat thing pretty late on. It's already been done to death as well.

Besides the teaser comming this Saturday all that is speculated is that it will be set during present day. So if you probably check back Sat. there will be more info. And as long as it doesn't end up like Battlefield 2 then it should be pretty good.

People complain about always having world war 2 games, so they try to switch it up and people are still unhappy. Can't please them all or anybody it seems!

It's like they're branching out the CoD games, like expanding it's borders and not -just- making it confined to WW2.

It lets them play around with some new options too, I'll check it out when it comes out.

Don't think so. They made an American Revolution game, but that was a mod to HL2. Called "The Battlegrounds". It's pretty cool.

Amazing Visuals! Can't wait to play this thing. It's like Rainbow Six mixed with Battlefield 2.

I don't know about this. Call of Duty has a certain style of gameplay/design that doesn't lend itself well to modern wars. I think they should have gone a different way with it instead of numbering it, calling it Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (especially since CoD5 is rumored to be in developement and going back to the WWII era).

There is a History Channel: Civil War game out for the 360 and PS2 published by Activision.

I agree about the play style. I kind of grew out of the run, jump, and gun style of CoD. I think the modern stuff is much better suited in a slower more tactical environment like the Rainbow/Ghost Recon games. I'm sure people will appreciate the modern version though. Kind of brings me back to the days of playing the Revolt mod in call of duty.

Well, that trailer looked nice. I'm curious about it and hope that it may bring somthing new or spice of the modern combat style games.

Infinity Ward has confirmed it for PC with Planet Call of Duty taking their (somewhat) announcement that it is a pc exclusive. Personally I'd prefer a console version, I've played through Cod, UO, andd CoD2 on PC and loved the single player game and enjoyed their multiplayer components but nothing beats playing the game over Live and the ease of getting friends together and voice chat. Also achievements.
