Well, as much as I adore Movie Megatron as is, I couldn't get over how cool he looked in the movie stills and trailers. And as much as I can see why Hasbro thought the blue looked good, I did not. Bear in mind, the sliver is actually a little darker, it's just shiny.

And so I give you: MEGATRON!!!

Back detail. (AKA vehicle wings and nosecone)

He does transform, just didn't bother to do so. The paint I used was a mix of arcrylic black and silver, it dries to a nice rubbery consistency.

Thats fantasic man! The lack of paint is my biggest gripe with Megs. As soon as I get some practice painting my Classics Seekers, I might have to do something like this myself.

 

I assume the bluish parts in the picture are unpainted plastic, correct?

 

That looks A TON better. Now clip the fairy wings and you'll have a winner.

 

Yeah, I need to give it another coat, though that won't take long.

 

The silver look a lot better. Do more. The less of the blue plastic showing the better. Even the pink clear plastic would look better black or silver.

If I happen to find a Megatron on clearance in the future, I'll give him the silver treatment for sure.

You could paint them, But clipping them seems to be the eaiser choice.

Wow, that looks really good! A shame they didn't do something like that in the first place, they could've used the same finish as Robovision Prime.

Plus, It's not really hypocicy since I never said I liked the colours. However, I did state he was perfect before.
