As a Classics substitute, Device Label for me. I don't dislike the Universe toy but it has its flaws; Venksta's upgrade helps make it more G1ish but unfortunately the leg issue is still there. That Universe toy is purely Unicron Trilogy Blaster and nothing more than that for me.

Yeah, the only Blaster I currently have for my display is the WST in alt mode riding in the G3 Trailer's Roller ejecting the tiny, tiny Steeljaw cassette.

Device Label Blaster is a brilliant toy, I don't know why almost every picture I've seen has his shoulder kibble flapping around like some kind of cape. If they're just folded back flush to his arms, it looks so much better. And he takes G1 tapes, what more could anyone want?

Honestly, 2.0 Blaster would've made more sense as a Botcon exclusive a few years ago (retooled head and everything).

I'd take Device Label. Looks much more like Blaster than that horrid other mold.

I have the Universe2.0 version with Venkstas upgrade as classics.
Venkstas upgrade makes it look more like Blaster but still, Cybertron Soundwave is not a great mold even though I usually find quite a few Cybertron toys fit pretty well with Classics.

I actually have Device Label Blaster and he freakin' rocks! However I don't think he fits with classics, not the way I see it anyway so I still use the Universe version as Classics Soundwave.

That is nice! OT: I wish Eject/Rewind had new alt modes similar to Frenzy/Rumble being tanks now. Takara should do slight re-tooling of the chest and re-decoe the Scout Class Breacher mold with new heads as Eject/Rewind.

Breacher has a black repaint? Or is that a custom?

custom, note the gold also on eject, probably the easiest custom i've done, disassemble, spray blue parts black, make decals, apply, done.

Universe 2 Blaster is the most affordable, so your wallet will like it the best. It is not likely Hasbro will make a new original tape-holding Blaster toy. If you want to spend more money then the Device label is nice.

Poll should be edited with the Universe Blaster with Renderform kit as an option. That add-on seriously gives Universe Blaster some chance of competing with DL Blaster.
