Apologies if this alteration has been posted before (say, around the time C-Hot Shot came out), but I was fiddling around with my new Excellion and made a small modification to add some extra articulation to the arms: (1) The focus is the little orange tab circled in the image below: These tabs form part of the vehicle mode front wheel wells. However, in robot mode, they run into the shoulder pads and prevent the arms from being raised at all where they connect to the shoulder pads (one of the transformation joints). (2) Shoulderpads were easy enough to remove with a screwdriver and there aren't any intricate pieces within the shoulder: Once the arms are excised from the shoulders, a hobby knife or Exacto can be used to shave the offending tabs down flush with the upper arm. (3) Reassemble the shoulders. (4) Below is a comparison shot of the articulation. The right arm has the tab removed, the left arm doesn't. Both arms are raised to their maximum at the transformation joints: (5) Below are some shots with both arms modified: (6) As far as I've seen, the alteration has no effect on the transformation to vehicle mode or stability in either mode and doesn't negatively impact the vehicle appearance, IMO.
