    @KING KONVOY:

Yeah, yeah, I thought something was off and was looking up the old retail myself. Hard to believe that it's not listed almost anywhere... just an offhand remark on some review of the Cybertron set of Prime and Magnus mentioned $24.99 to $29.99.

Size aside, Hasbro didn't sell them for $40 or $50 each originally, in the Universe repaints, and they were $30 together in that Costco set. If those figures were really supposed to be at a $40 retail point all that time? Ouch.

And none of this has to do with the fact that there are NO new Universe releases (yet). Just repackaged shelfwarmers.

The only one Im missing out of that lot is Backstop. He shall remain missing.

If some of them were repaints, I might have gotten them.

FWIW, $19.99 was the highest retail price point for Universe, with the exception of the store store exclusives.

I'd say it's highly, highly unlikely we'd ever see a repaint of a supreme class figure in Universe. The line is (currently) only distributed by discount chain stores (Dollar General, Family Dollar, etc...), and I'd be surprised to see them willing to stock a high-dollar item like that.

I wouldn't say it's impossible, especially with the more formal resurrection of Universe coming next year... but the probability has to be REALLY low.

I didn't say they were $40 or $50. I said RID Leader Class figures were at least $29.99. Plus Costco exclusive 2-packs are usually $34.99 -$37.99. I'm not sure about the cyberton omega prime 2-pack but I doubt it was $24.99.

Target carried Universe i.e. Nemesis Prime

Sam's Club carried Universe i.e. Yellow Fire Convoy

There are a whole slew of larger Universe Products

    BBTS Universe Ultra Class

The Primus repaint doesn't have be a part the Universe line but its possible and I don't mind if it comes down the line. Why not?

If they made Golden Age Primus a Botcon Exclusive it would go for $500 on ebay.

Just my luck that the releases all seem to be the one's I've already got from when the Classics line got me interested in the Cybertron line. Oh well maybe at some point Universe will get some of the one's I'm still looking for.

Larger, sure. I think what people are trying to say is that there is no past precedent for a Supreme class figure to be redeco'ed in a subsidiary line. Energon Unicron was redeco'ed in the next main line.

I don't think any of us would mind... :lol

Not sure if the Spychangers are going to be coming out again or not--those have been out for a loooong time.

Hope they are though, they're fun molds and you can't go wrong for $2.

What, those are new re-releases?? When I was honeymooning in the Upper peninsula of Michigan in early July I saw those, including Arcee and insecticon, at several Family Dollar stores. I bought a spychanger Prime because I had never found one before. I guess I didn't think anything of it at the time.

@ Eriku- The Energon repacks and KB Spychanger repacks are all old, these Cybertron repacks are the new figures we haven't seen in stores yet.

I actually bought Brushguard this week at Wal-mart(Cybertron packaging though) and added him to my Universe collection. I'm looking forward to getting the rest of these, especially the Prime/Megs two-pack that has caught my eye recently. =)

I want that Spychanger Prime too. One of the very few in the last few years I regret passing on.

I doubt they'll be $2. I'm guessing in the $4-6 range...of course that might vary from chain to chain.

You know, now that you say that, it's kinda ringing a bell--but I don't remember anything about it.
Yeah, the Spychangers were $2... the Cybertron basics will probably be around $5.
