Is the Ikard and Takotank item worth it? I'm going after the set primarily for Ikard, and plan on selling the Takotank for cheap, but I'm not sure if the whole enterprise is worth it just to get a repainted Scuba.

To those who have the toy, is this item worth pursuing?

The toy itself is pretty neat. The motorcycle and launchers are nice. The repainted figure is just that a repaint of a really cheap (as in price) figure. For just the figure i would say no it's not worth it. But for the set it's definitely worth it.

id say not worht it. as a set yes. but you might have a hard time selling the takotank on its own since it breaks the set, but you never know. Also he does fetch a fair price as a set so if you can sell takotank for a decent price that counters the difference then go for it.

While the Scuba/Claw Jaw mold is one of my favorite, I'd say it's not worth it for just that figure unless you're already getting an insane deal on the set. You certainly won't be recouping much of your costs selling off Tako Tank, especially considering shipping.

Depends on the price you can get it for / get for it. I mean, its a pretty unique and insane TF, which gives it a novelty factor at least.

Also, no TF squid collection is complete without it.

What's a good price for the figure, given its rarity and age? Is it one of those figures that's so off-beat no one really wants it past the BW phase? I suppose this is overpriced ...

Around $100 is a good price for a MIB one I believe.

Personally, I got mine on yahoojapan through one of the proxy services for about $80 total. Kind of a hassle but worth the little extra savings IMO.

I've been wanting this set too, but I can't find them cheaper than 200 or so. I think the club needs to release it repainted as Classics Octopunch...

Oh yeah, what proxy service did you use?
