I'm trying to make a custom pre-Beast Wars Cybertronian Snapper out of Breacher. I want to avoid having to repaint Breacher's head because I initially planned on swapping it with Snapper's, but then I remembered most of the BW basic class figures didn't have heads on open ball joints.

Is it possible to remove Snapper's head, keep it intact, and fit it on a modern ball joint?

That actually helped out a lot, but I still need to figure out how to remove Snapper's head. I don't have one with me, but most of those BW basic figures didn't have screws on the back of the head. I think they were glued together.
