Hey guys I want to do my own line of Beast Wars Characters with vehicle modes. I like the Botcon Cybertronian versions but they are a bit too expensive for me to just go out and buy them all plus I want to work on some new customs.

I'm hoping for mainly main cast first season Maximals and a few Predicons. Here's what I have so far

Cheetor from Clocker, Cyb Swindle or Classics Sunstreaker (I already have a bunch of this mold so it's not high on my list. I do need some help with a scout sized Cheetor-esque head

Rhinox - ROTF Brawn with a Grindor (first movie green walmart exclusive construction vehicle guy)

Primal - Deluxe Armada Prime or Marvel TF Black Wolverine - need head ideas though

Rattrap - Cyb Ransack GT the head works fine I think

Dinobot - Armada Hoist or ROTF Lockdown, which I know has been done but it's pretty cool

Airrazor - E. Arcee or maybe just buy the Botcon version

any other ideas for the characters I listed or new ones would help a lot

Inferno, Megatron, Waspinator, Black Aracnia, Tarantulus are other figures I want off the top of my head

Inferno - E. Windrazor, already the right colors, not sure if the alt mode fits though

Maybe use WFC megatron for beast wars megatron? I saw someone made a pretty cool digibash the other day with it. I just can't remember who it was anymore.

I think Movie Wreckage would make a good Dinobot base.

I agree. I'm actually torn right now from doing a movie-verse/classics versions or Cybertronian versions or just pick the best mold for each individual

I could use TFTM Stockade as Primal or Armada Prime as Primal
Armada Hoist as Dinobot or Wreckage
TFTM Grindor or ROTF Brawn as Rhinox

I thought Cybertron Optimus Prime would make a good Primal.

Plus, you can combine him with Leo Prime.

My only thing is I'm not a fan of bigger bots. I prefer to work on the Deluxe and sometimes Voyager/Alternator scale but with my Beast line-up I'm gonna stick to deluxe size. You do have a good point though especially since the mouth is there

I'm not the biggest BW fan, but I'll have a little fun with you here.
I would go with Classics Mirage. The fast alt mode, leaner body. Much more "Cheetor." Red Alert to Tigatron though.
I would go with the Energon Landmine mold over the Cybertron one (the mold Grindcore is). Mostly for that Brute pack.
Uh-uh. Crossover Hulk. That mold exhibits much more of that gorilla body type.
Didn't the BotCon set use the Breakdown mold? I thought that worked well (and the toy itself is still cheap). But Ransack does work just as well.
Energon Starscream, to play a bit on "Raptor."
Cyb. Thunderblast, which I'm sure you're contemplated.
    Inferno = Legends Wheelie.

Waspinator can be one of the Bruticus limb helicopters.

Black Arachnia... uhh... oh shoot. Did I already use Thunderblast? LOL

    Tarantulas = Cyb. Override

I know you're trying to limit on using larger figures, but I think I'd like to see a BW Megs from Cyb. Leader Megs.

Nice idea I have an extra Mirage too. I'll consider it. What head would work though?

Great idea on this one too. Now I need to find one for a decent price if I go that route. I've seen so many good customs from this mold so I should get it regardless. The grey one would be the best start for me though

From what I remember they used the Ransack mold and the Breakdown mold for Cheetor and Tigatron

Well he does come with a big sword. Would have to think of a good head though

Not sure I can use a boat for Airrazor

Not sure about the logic behind this one

I've seen someone do that before but I think I might use a machine wars jet.

That's a really good idea. Too bad I sold mine. Well I guess I'm back to the marketplace

    Thanks for the input

Cybertron prime as Optimal Optimus?! I may try to do that myself... maybe add in some cybertron metroplex arms for good measure.

Imagining the color scheme is blowing my mind! The wings would be silver! Just imagine automotive shiny burgandy and blue paint! Might call for a digibash. I'll see what I can whip up.

This is what I was thinking:

Cybertron Prime mold as Optimal Optimus. The original pic was from Ben Yee's site BWTF. If anyone knows if he'll object, I'll remove it immediately.

I'm guessing the Universe Cheetor head is too large for the mold. Energon Ravage is about the right size, but that'd be a bit of work to fit it on.
Could've been. I don't exactly keep up with BotCon figures.
Yeah, I'm not going to lie. I'm pretty terrible at finding headsculpts for what I want. It's part of the reason I haven't really gotten a project finished.
True, I was aiming more at the robot mode. I suppose you could femme up the Classics Seeker mold.
There is none, I just looked over my shoulder and saw Wheelie. Figured he's small, you can paint the chest/hood to look a bit like an ant's head.
    No problem.

Here are a few of my suggestions (I'd at least be interested in seeing them):

Generations Drift would make a cool Cheetor or Tigatron.

RotF Breakaway/Thrust, though not a "Classics" mold would do well as Waspinator.

    RotF Dirge/Jetblade as Air Razor

ROTF Breakdown would make an awesome Ratrap, just make sure you give him pink tires.

The HftD Terradive would make for a cool BW custom methinks.

Man I think I might have to try those. I know I've seen Cheetor and Tigatron from Drift, I'll try Tigatron first though, since he's my style of easy on the painting

Sweet idea I was looking for a reason to buy that mold and the orange one would be a good base for this

    Another good one. Maybe Depthcharge

Got a bunch of the molds to make the Dawn of Futures Past set.

Awesome haul, bud! I always wanted that Megatron. I'm looking forward to seeing what you end up with here :)
