this is kind of stupid i but i just realized...

the fuzors from beast wars were a mix of two animals, and though its not a concept that hasnt been explored before outside transformers

i noticed the idea shows a lot of simularities with disneys Wuzzles, which was about creatures that were crosses between two animals

its dumb but i just thought of it, i miss wuzzles

They were also, in-story, partly Transmetal. So they were party robotic fusions of two animals.

Shame more Fuzors never made it into the show. BW had a lot of truely unique concepts like Transmetals and Fuzors.

So the name FUZORS didn't hint at that?

I didn't like the fuzors, generally. Quickstrike was alright, but make the snake head a proper stinger, some slight retoolong and I guess he could've been a transmetal scorponoc.

    EEHHHHH

Fuzors are a lot more similar to their Jurassic Park "Chaos Effect" cousins -- which came out the same time by the same toy company and where intended to get their own cartoon, too.

I want vehicle fuzors: a boat with wings, a car with helicoptor rotors and a jet with a tank turret.

And I don't mean Broadside, Springer or Blitzwing.

I want a tanker truck with skis and a motorbike with a wrecking ball. I want...

Well, the concept kind of goes back to mythology, where you had things like the Sphynx and the Manticore and the Chimera, such that Silverbolt is basically a Griffin, but yeah, I never made the connection between the Fuzors and the Wuzzles and it makes me giggle.

I still think that if they had continued with the series and we got to see TM2 Scavenger (Inferno) and some of the other Transmetal 2 characters it would have made a better continuation than Beast Machines..... Even some of the Fuzors would have been nice to see.

I mostly only liked the two that made it on the show, as I wasn't a fan of the 'freaky monster' style of BW, and Silverbolt and Quickstrike were fairly conservative on the weirdness scale.

What 'freaky monster' style of BW? Are you talking about Season 2, when most of them became robot beasts? Megs looked like a proper monster, the rest weren't so bad.

That's true. I prefered their organic modes, they were better in my opinion. Particularly Primal, who, at least to me, no longer looks anything like an ape.

Same here. I like my TFs to have alts that could let them blend in; "Transmetals" are, for want of better word, nonsensical.

EDIT: There are, of course, certain exceptions...ˇ

The explanation for transmetalissation was pretty poor, too.

I'm referring more to some of the stranger Fuzor toy designs, Injector being a standout example, more monster than animal, usually with equally monstrous robot modes. There weren't many Transmetal-2 designs I liked either, for the same reason. Just a matter of personal preference regarding a particular (and common) element of the Beast Wars franchise.
