Yes, an ebay seller told me it comes with one head and a review video for the 1st batch stock also confirmed it.

 

Um.....I think only a 15% flash sale can beat Taobao saving.

 

It may depend on what the item is.
At least with Ebay you can be guaranteed that the item will arrive still sealed from the factory. No EMS warehouse staff to open it up for inspection.

 

For things that I am mostly interested, I need 15% flash sale. Am curious what item is more expensive on Taobao than Ebay (+ 8% ebay ebucks).

 

Does Taobao shut down completely over CNY?

 

Pretty much. Warehouses close and some sellers respond but they don't ship. Better off to not purchase anything in case this is get lost maybe?

So it wasn't opened for inspection it seems.
Did you ship it out immediately after it reached the EMS warehouse or did you let it sit for a couple days?

I shipped out right after they got to the warehouse. It’s FH Archenemy but after opening it it might have been opened in the warehouse. The plastic shell wasn’t taped shut and there was a loose piece of tape on the shell. Plus the outer box tape was taped over. The loose tape could be from the figure being older

 

Ah, so this time it was opened for inspection after all. Oh well, at least everything is intact with nothing missing. Still I like knowing that my item arrives sealed from the factory. The only way to guarantee a Taobao item will remain sealed from the factory is to ship using the JCEX option instead of EMS but as you know I've stopped using JCEX ever since they switched to using volumetric weight (at the end of 2017) to calculate the whipping weight which always results in much higher shipping.

 

I can't find a notice on Taobao regarding 2019 CNY interruptions yet, but typically businesses are off on the eve (Monday 4 Feb) and a entire week after that (12 Feb). Since the eve is on a Monday you'd want to have to your stuff airborne before the weekend, 1 Feb Friday. Some smaller businesses may take off for 2 whole weeks.

Also note that your local courier might be affected if they celebrate CNY.

Imo you should clear your warehouse by next week to be safe...

 

Superbuy said they would be closed 2 Feb - 11 Feb (Beijing time) and would resume normal operations on the 12th of Feb.

 

Just wanted to give an update on my first Taobao experience. It has been a bit of a hassle. Ordered 4 Lepin sets (from Gelidatoys) and DX9 Gabriel (from Little Bee). All were rejected by the Zhongshen EMS warehouse due to size. All items have been returned from the warehouse to the sellers. I've been charged a total of $25 USD for return shipping.

I admit that I went big on this first order   I didn't realize the Lepin sets would be delivered in their huge product boxes. And Gabriel is huge by default. But as others have successfully bought him on Taobao, I didn't think there would be a problem. As a side note, everyone here has been great with pointers and tips figuring all this out!

Anyway, we're approaching Chinese New Year and I don't dare make any other attempts at this time of year. Maybe never again.

 

Ok, this makes sense. I did a Taobao order for one of those robot egg statues with different themes (mine was breaking bad) and the foil tape had dirt all over it, making it no longer able to hold the box closed and one of the small pieces ( the blue heisenberg )was missing. The seller got me a replacement though.

 

I don't understand. I have never had anything rejected. I bought the WJ omega, surely it's the same size.
