so i just got myself wave 1 of classics, right? (yayzers for meezers!)

i've never been a completionist with toys before, buying what i like only, thus this is actually my 1st time buying a line by the wave.

    it feels...empowering.

like how that fat kid in the aisle who always gets what he wanted 'cuz he was spoiled, looking and jeering at us poor kids who could only afford a single toy per trip.

    ...awesome, yeah!

I did the same thing in one day too hehehe great line classics is I cannot wait for the 2nd wave!

Also I think you have excelent stacking skills KA the way those toys are blanced. Wouldnt it have been cool if Megatron had been packed upside down in his box, and have all the decepticone boxes like that so the boxes interlock? Just a thaught.

    Congrats, KA :)

I have preordered them by waves, too, but for me it somewhat killed the excitement.
They all look great and I am very looking forward to them, I am feeling this way possibly because I didn't have the fun of choosing which ones to get with my limited budget. I don't know.

It is pretty cool to get the whole at once, but then after the excitement wears off you hit this big 'well ok, when's the next wave?' part that just sucks.

For years now, I have bought toys by the wave. I guess you could call me a completionist.

I thought this topic was about buying whole boxes of a wave, which I've only done once, near the middle of Cybertron. It was the wave with the armada remolds, Sideways, Red Alert, Override, and Snarl. I only bought that because I needed 6 of those 8 figures, and I probably wouldn't do it again unless that was the case.

Classics is the only thing I've bought the first wave in its entirety. It definitely helped that there weren't that many toys in the wave though...

Same here I bought all of Wave 1 and currently have all of wave 2 paid for as well. I Just love the Classics line its simply the best I have seen in a long time so I couldnt resist the urge to get them all.

Collecting toys has become a lot easier now that I'm an adult and disposable cash is orders of magnitude larger than it was when I was in the target age group for these things.

I like buying in fairly large (4-10) groups at a time. My favorite figures tend to be Scout to Deluxe sized, which incidently are cheap to buy. Getting a bunch of them at once is like christmas and I suddenly have a bunch of new little figures to goof around with.

Nothing beats walking into the house, putting on a cup of coffee and tearing open a bunch of new minions.

I'd like to buy that way all the time. Usually it's only possible with wave one. After that, new figures don't show up as full wave; but only part of one.

When it comes to Transformers I am a geek on crack. I can't help but buy everything up right away. It must be a scary site, to see a person with a cart load of TFs heading towards checkout.

I don't think I bought any line by the wave until the Classics either. It's just an awesome line.

KA, your shopping cart story reminds me of when me and my friend go hunting. She's an avid My Little Pony fan and our cart's full of TF's and MLP's (if the God of Distribution looks down kindly on us). Once we got asked about them in the checkout line by a soccer mom and my friend replies "yeah, they're for us. The Ponies are his and the Robots are for me."

    XD

I'm very tempted to pick up several of Kaiyodo's Revoltech figures.

    6 Eva's + 1 Revy.

I'm ashamed. I promised myself I wouldn't, but... Damn, when was the last time they had a line that was all winners like this? Should a wave have at least one Armada Sideswipe or lame repaint of Armada Sideswipe or Cybertron Thundercracker or Wheelie to break things up? Some so-so molds that make you go 'Ehhhh... I'll think about it'

Damnit, they made BUMBLEBEE cool. BUMBLEBEE!!!

This line like I have stated befor is GREAT. But 1 question why is wave 2 so small only 3 (Jetfire, Grimlock, and Mirage). Its only half the size of Wave 1?

I don't think I've ever bought a line by the wave. Ever.

The most at one time was maybe 4 or 5, and that's it.

Classics, however, will be the first line I complete, and I've been collecting constantly since BW.
