I've been looking to rebuild my Dreamcast collection and was looking for places to buy games other than eBay. I've found some of the stuff I'm looking for but not everything on it. Any suggestions?

I'm mostly looking for fighting games and some of the rpgs. I don't have a specific list really.

And why BUY the games? The whole reason the Dreamcast failed was that it's so easy to copy games for it. You don't even need a boot disk, much less a mod chip.

Because a lot of people don't like stealing, and prefer to have the ACTUAL game, with the case and manual rather than a CDR labeled with a sharpie.

Can it even be considered stealing anymore when the game is out-of-print and made for a dead system?

Sega certainly won't be losing money by you making a copy of a dreamcast game.

Did the Dreamcast have any copy protection at all? No boot disk and no mod chip needed sure sounds like a bad protection scheme to me.

Yeah, I remember when I worked at Microsoft, people would pass out Dreamcast game copies around. I got NFL 2K, and some other games. And a friend of mine gave me a copy of MAME with an assload of games. And they all ran as if I had put the original store-bought game. Of course, I bought all of my DC games, but I was still curious as to how bloody easy it was.

I prefer to have the full games to, oh, and not stealing. My suggestion would be to go to a gamestop or EB and talk to one of the "gamer" looking employees. Get to know them, and usually they can be good avenues to find games, either from them or from their friends. I know when I worked at Gamestop, we even had people come in trying to trade in games, but of course the measly amount we would offer was rediculous. Those people are usually willing to get rid of games for a few bucks, but not a few pennies.

MS, I think I still have Sword of the Berserk, the game that got me into the manga and anime. Let me know if you're interested and I'll try to find it.

I have done that for a few of the harder to find games after the DC began to disappear, but like others said I like having the actual game and case.

funkatron101 and Violator thanks for the offers, but neither are on my list right now. Besides, I had Berserk and played it a good bit. I think I left it at a friend's, so he might still have it.

If there's a Gamecrazy anywhere nearby you, hit them up as they still take in and sell Dreamcast games.

You may be assed out as far as the original case and manual go -- people seem to like to note take care of PS1 and Dreamcast era games. Still, for B&M, they're probably you're best option at this point.

It's a great little game and has pure WTF factor when you die.
    Seriously, you can't go wrong.
Plus it's from Treasure the makers of Gunstar Heroes so that's a win right there!
