Ok...I bought the first movie Benders Big Score...and immediately regretted the decision. Futurama is so close to my hear, even closer than Transformers *gasp!!* and I was so disappointed with how horrible the movie was. Needless to say when I saw Beast with a Billion Backs in Walmart today, I was suspicious so I waited to buy it until I saw it in "some other way."

I just got finished watching it all I can say is this. First thing tomorrow, that DVD will be mine. I cannot express how happy I am with this newest movie. It was everything Bender's Big Score wasn't...namely...funny. It was hilarious, and better yet, it was cohesive and made sense as opposed to the jumbled mess it's predecessor was. Bravo Greoning, you have won back my heart...and wallet.

EDIT: Apparently this doesn't come out until Tuesday...guess the walmart in waterford didn't get that memo lol

Really? I found BWBB was far less consistently funny than BBS. Beast had some of the funniest scenes I have ever watched (spoilers - Namely Amy and Kiff's wedding) but would then go for stretches with barely anything that was funny. It also felt pretty disjointed in the same way Bender's Big Score did in that it was written as four episodes mashed together. I dunno, I liked them both but I wouldn't go as far to say BBS was shit and BBWB was fantastic, they're both pretty good. Not as good as the series as it's best good, but good none the less.

I thought Bender's Big Score was waaaaaay better than Beast With a Billion Backs. I've only watched Beast once but I wasn't too impressed with it. I loved Big Score though.

I never cease to be amazed that I am one of the few people who doesn't like BBS. Myself and all my friends who are also Futurama fanatics hated it. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion I guess...

I thought Bender's Big Score was terrible (thankfully, I didn't pay to see it), just a horrible mishmash of 'cool' bits/characters from the series strung together with a thin plot, so I'm not in a rush to buy it or Beast with a Billion Backs. Maybe if/when they go on heavy discount or if Comedy Central, at some point in the future, bundles all four "movies" as a "season set" or something similar.

I've not been pleased by both offerings. Not enough funny bits. Feel way longer than an hour and a half. Break each movie into 2 normal episodes.

Blark! I haven't kept up and had no idea it was coming out soon, let alone actually available at some places! Anyways, I'm sure I'll like it, and I really liked BBS, and... well I don't think Futurama can really do any wrong.

Yes! I'll check Wal-Mart to see if it's there tonight. I'm impatiently waiting for this, and if it's out early, all the better!!

I didn't hate BBS, but I disliked it, that's for sure. Seemed like it was written for those who had a 2-minute attention span. Plus, it had Al Gore in it. AGAIN. Ugh.

I found BBS a better watch than BWBB. I just liked all the little "fill-in-the-blank" moments of BBS such as the destruction of the city seen in the pilot episode when Fry is frozen to really be Bender doing it. I found myself going back to older episodes to see how they fit together.

Though I got a huge chuckle from the opening of BWBB, "Last time on Futurama...AHHHH!!!"

Either way, it's great to watch the new material! Looks like maybe the 3rd one will be out this holiday season?

Bender's Game - The sneak peek trailer mentions a release date of the holiday season of 2008 in the US.

Into the Wild Green Yonder - An Advertisement on the region 2 DVD of Bender's Big Score stated a release date of April 2009 in the UK (maybe US too?)
