If the original two-pack made it to Kmart Australia, then this'll make it too! :D

But too bad Hasbro is not even thinking in this way, hence it will not make it to US market.

You can get Buster with or without the faceplate.

Yah,the ROTF version is much cheaper, anybody know the reason why the difference in price is so huge despite both 1st issue & the reissue figures are exactly the same?

    Price gouging I'd imagine.

Price padding by resellers, TakaraTomy/Hasbro Asia, and deteriorating exchange rate to boot.

I wonder if we could just get that Buster Prime released here, minus all the extra silver paint and chrome, but keep those red toes painted silver and keep all the other extra paint apps to make it like a "Premium" release, but keep costs/prices sane.

Idk why, but out of all the Hasbro Leaders, Optimus's figures have always seemed too plain to me in terms of painted detail. Everyone else seemed fine though. Maybe it's just because he has the most going on colorwise with his flames and all.

I'd really like to know how much more the extra paint adds to the production cost of each figure from this 2-pack.

What's the point? I don't see how what you'd get would be any better than any of the other half-ass RotF Leader Primes Hasbro has already given us.

If Hasbro ever does release Buster here, I want the real thing. Not some cheap-looking disappointment.

Yeah, has to be a combination of the exchange rate and padding. Because BBTS's price is about $90 over their own price for the first release. That's what makes it particularly mystifying.

I guess padding is the main issue, exchange rate play a minimal part in such a huge difference of price between the ROTF packaging & this DOTM packaging.

If Hasbro were going to use Buster tooling...it seems like they would've done it already. Perhaps i'm wrong. W/O knowing the specifics of their costing process, maybe they simply deemed it non-viable, chrome or not.

That said...with all these apparent Takara only Primes being thrown out...i do kinda wish Hasbro would throw people who aren't buying those Takara Primes a bone.

i will really be shocked if we dont see some sort of use of the striker/jet wing optimus mold released in the US just to give a update to prime to match the movie premium or not

although i see no reason why they couldnt bring striker to the US other than they dont want to compete with ultimate optimus for holiday sales

hasbro has already given us a prime cast in similar colors with more paint apps at a voyager price for DOTM as that walmart exclusive

has there ever been a leader class exclusive aside from the masterpiece stuff?

You shall be shocked because so far, there is no news at all from Hasbro regards to releasing Leader Optimus Prime in near future. Up till date, all the Leader class Optimus Prime under DOTM is all Japan or Asia exclusive version, there is no Hasbro version

speaking of holiday sales ultimate optimus....damn my walmart got boat load. its at least 30 something on the aisle, and the rest where it normally resides another 20 or so..going for $68.00.

too bad there's no striker nor jet powered anywhere in site.

Exactly. I don't mind if I have to pay extra for Prime/Jetfire from Takara. My concern is if I buy it only then to hear Hasbro is releasing it here for much, much less. With Hasbro saying nothing in regards to the 3 recent leader Primes, I have a feeling we may finally see something of them come time of the final post-movie product push.

I think Hasbro might get one out before the movie line is said and done, but nothing near the ones Takara is issuing....its just too expensive for them and to actually sell it will be hard here in the states...

Striker Ops seems right up their alley, just hope they add in the 2 blades. I can imagine him being sold as some store exclusive given his uniqueness.
