    Charming Shoppes closing 150 stores and cutting expansion plans by 50%
    Starbucks closing 100 stores and slowing expansion plans by 34%
    Ann Taylor shuttering 117 stores and slowing store growth
    Boston Market evaluating its real estate opportunities
    Buffet Holdings sorting out its underperformers
    Sprint Nextel closing 125 stores and 4,000 distribution points
    Cost Plus World Market closing 18 stores
    Liz Claiborne closing 54 Sigrid Olsen stores
    New York & Company axing the Jasmine Sola brand and its 32 stores

    This is really scary since I work in retail. Hope Depot is really alarming. There in the list of top five retailers.

    Movie Gallery's corporate HQ is near here in Dothan and there was talk of it moving to Oregon with the new Prez they got.

    Many of us here scratched our heads when they bought out Hollywood video and tried to be a player with Blockbuster.

    so this affects us big time here.

    You forgot Circuit City. We're losing a Kmart, too. The whole auto industry thing worries me. We've started losing dealerships. Considering I work in one, that's kinda worrisome to me.
