...made from a 1968 Beetle with the Classic figure's Transformation scheme. Some battle damage included.

More renders soon; I have some more smoothing/texturing to do to the little guy.

hey Scott, it's been a while since I saw you post some 3D work.

Your Beetle looks pretty good in terms of proportions and silhouette. I don't know if you plan on adding any more detail to him, but you may want to model the grooves in the front hood and add side mirrors on him. Also, it looks like you used the bumper from the 70s beetle since the 60s beetle has a bit more added details.

Again these are all little nitpicky things and the only reason I know about them is because I modeled a 62 or 64 beetle two years ago. I'm probably going to do a 70s version for my "More Than Meets The Eye" project.

Btw, do you have any wireframe renders or screen grabs? I always like to see how other people modeled their stuff and usually, all my WIPs are done in wireframe so others can see.

    Great job with Bumbles.

    Your work looks great.

However, I think the front end/hood of the Beetle seems a little too long. Maybe I'm wrong, but it just looks stretched out too far.

    Some updates:

Added more battle damage, the hood grooves, side and rear view mirrors, and some chrome stripping I saw in a photo of a beetle online that I liked. I also updated the front bumper to be more 1968'ish (thank you, Star Cracker).

    The pics:
Front and left side - dents/scratches in the door.

Rear and right side - bullet holes in the door.

Top - more bullet holes and a big blaster hole as well as some denting/crumpling.

The license plate and plate holder.

    Robot pics to follow.

    Some robot pics:

    Standing upright.

    Striking an action pose.

A gash in his left arm, with leakin' lubricants.

More leaking lubricants - his knee this time - and a close-up of his hand.

Some mini-rockets in his left arm, and crumpling of his car top.

Pointing his little blaster at you. THe glowing bit (as well as the small glowing bits on his arm) are for targetting. He's a gimmicky lil' bugger!

    Comments/crits welcome.

Cool Generation Movie Bumblebee. :)  Reminds me of that Alt BB concept.
I'm dissapointed the Alternators BB never came to be. ;.; Alt Cliffjumper, not so much. CJ should have been a golf with Alt BB's transformation scheme!
    Leakin' lubricant, lol. :p
