    >Transformers Video Game License may fall under a new publisher

Praying to god that this means Hasbro will finally start doing Transformers console games again. This dry spell of no console games has been absolutely ridiculous.

I'm eager to see what happens when Bumblebee inevitably fails to prop up a dying franchise.

Who cares, they have nothing BUT contempt for console gamers. Even if we do get another game for Xbox and PS4 the graphics will be shit compared to all the others and it will probably be another kiss up to geewunners with the recycled "Cybertron is destroyed, we must protect earth and the humans at all cost" bullshit.

TF and the next couple of years will be interesting then. I doubt the branded Generations lines (i.e. those that are explicitly packaged and marketed with the Generations logo) will be replaced by the evergreen branded figures, baring in mind that the whole point is to have only a few core characters represented in a timeless/not-specific-to-any-media design. There’s plenty that Generations proper can still explore, especially if they make it truly multi-generational. The fact that they’re introducing a Generations branded movie line with the same package design cues from the Prime Wars lines (the black background and Generations logo) makes me think they’re not thinking of stopping Generations as we know it any time soon.

This is akin to whining about Batman defending Gotham City. It's the basic plot of the franchise. Get over it or go follow Robotech.

I'm never opposed to anything movie. I know it's the money maker. And making small budget films might pay off.

But if this means no Monstructor or Piranacon potp will have been very lackluster.

Really interested to see what\'s in store for the future, but kinda worried at the same time. Guess we\'ll just have to wait and see.

I find it interesting that bbts made it on their marketing logo slide. I didn’t realize they were that large.

POTP and Prime Wars Trilogy. Generations line would probably go on for the collectors.

I suppose BBTS is a good example of a smaller retailer Hasbro has a good relationship with. They have a direct account with Hasbro (it used to say so somewhere on the site) and have had exclusives or shared exclusives from them in the past.

Exclusives I guess are a good incentive for smaller retailers, though most of the time they seem to be exclusives for the sake of exclusives, which is especially annoying when they make a single character exclusive (hello movie Stinger and Hot Rod).

Theres nothing to "get over it" on. At least in the Batman games (Arkham and Telltale series), they took the time go in depth and you actually got to see what it's like in Batman's point of view the great measures he has to take to make sure Gotham/Arkham is safe and secure with a few different takes added to it and the Telltale series has so many different twists that makes you WANT more. In terms of gameplay, storytelling, graphics, fighting/shooting mechanics, etc. : The TF games from 2007-2015 offered NOTHING new to the table.

Did Hasbro confirm that PotP will end this year or is this just speculation?

I find it equally amazing to see British (Asda, Argos, Tesco, Hamleys, Smyths) German (Metro, Real, Müller, Galeria Kaufhof, MyToys, Aldi, Lidl), Dutch (BOL, Top Toy, Action), French (Carrefour, Auchan), Swiss (Migros), Russian (Detski Mir), Mexican (Soriana), Ecuadorian (Juguetón), Brazilian (RiHappy, PBKids) and Colombian (Éxito) companies on there.

I'm ready for a new line of Transformers that do not combine.

I've always loved the Hasbro Generations / Takara United line.

War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron would honestly beg to differ, my friend. Personally, I think 2009-2012 were some good years for Transformers games, too. Revenge of the Fallen, WFC, FOC, heck even Dark of the Moon were all pretty decent games. Let’s just not talk about Rise of the Dark Spark or Devastatio, though.

If the final waves CW and TR are how we should judge any future final waves of POTP, then we should expect future waves to be mostly retools and redecos. I think most of us expect that for any Seacons or Dino King would be retool/redeco anyway. We could still see them as Takara Mall and Hasbro Platinum Edition exclusives as box sets instead of retail releases. Given that big box stores in some markets never carry these final waves anyway, it probably for the best.
