You guys will get to see him before the end of this month as I heard. :)
Update: Images removed per request of Hasbro.

Anyway, I got to see a render of Bumblebee: The Movie Bumblebee today. Well, just the bust. Allow me to describe him for you*.
    1. The best comparison I can think of is how much he’s identical to Movie 1 Camaro (1975).
    2. I can tell that his hood is his chest and there’s a clear visible V shape which is the bended front part of the Volkswagen Beetle hood.
    3. Headlights are exactly where 1975 Camaro version headlights are BUT they are not bent in an angle.
    4. Once transformed to robot mode, the front bumper of the car sits a bit lower than in the vehicle mode.
    5. I can’t confirm whether he has door wings or not. The render I saw hides them from the visible range. However, I may have spotted them peeking slightly from behind. But I can’t 100% confirm. IF the wings are there, then they are much lower than his previous iterations.
    6. His head and face is exactly as we saw on the Bumblebee Movie logo. But the render makes him look visibly younger.
TLDR Version: He doesn’t look like his G1 version but rather looks like the live action movie version with VW Bug parts replacing the Camaro parts.

    *Disclaimer: Final design may change.

Close very close. But there's a clear separation between the hood and the headlight parts. Hence why I exampled it to the 1975 Camaro look.

Thank you. I like this design and looks forward to seeing it. I think it actually makes bee look sleeker.

Did anyone even expect him to look differently? I mean, his look is so famous that they'll never, even redesign him again.

I did, yes. I would not call it "famous."

That image shows to me that there is a risk the "fat Volkswagen Beetle" look can clash with Bee's "muscle-car Camaro" look. I hope I'm wrong though.

Anyway, hope to see Bee and other Transformers as soon as possible.

You should be happy to hear that you are wrong.

While the render I saw was close to the mock up image here, the actual bot is sleeker and very youthful looking. His build is quite close to Transformers: Prime Bumblebee. His torso is not "busy-looking" like other movie versions of him. Less clutter, more sleek. Rust was there but not much.

I'll answer some of the questions.

It does look good. I want to see the movie even more.

But I don't think it'll change much. The render I saw may even be the near final version.

He's close though. But the chest is much sleeker looking and looks more like Transformers: Prime Bumblebee.

    It does indeed. Less clutter.

Okay, I'm imagining the chest being similar to Prime Knockout in that the headlights/bumper are a 'vest' with the hood as a 'shirt' underneath. Kind of like the Don Fig VW Bumblebee design but the wheel wells are part of the chest.

Very different from Figueroa. Not that 'fat'. But I can agree with your Prime Knockout comment "headlights/bumper are a 'vest' with the hood as a 'shirt' underneath". But not that angular, and closer to Prime Bee.

    Just Bumblebee.

I'm not sure if anyone was really expecting a radical change in the look since Paramount still seems to be on the fence between change and keeping things the same. So I'm guessing things will fall along our usual lines of if you like or don't like the look of movie designs.
