This is my custom version of ROTF Bumblebee.
when I saw the figure at a toystore I realy wanted to have it and so I bought it.. but then I wasnt realy happy with the collours so I wanted to repaint it..
then I looked on the internet for ways to do it and I soon found out the world of repainting and customizing transformers is realy big!! Im from holland and you dont see much of that stuff over here..
but then I started repainting it and I thought it would be cool to make his eyes glow with some LED lights.. then I was finished.. put him on the internet and got comments of some people.. but I wasnt really satisfied with the result.. so I did it over...
but while I was at it I broke the figure.. (sorry B!) so I bought another one..
I made his eyes glow with another LED light and did his headlights to! that was really tricky! most of all the part where to make the batterys work. I used 8 of those realy small batterys and connected them to the LED's. after that I give him a cool blaster for his cannon.
there.. finished again.. put him ont he internet and waited for more comments..
but after that I still wasn't happy with the result sooooooooooo..
I took his arm/roof pannels and attatched them to his back.. after that I made him some new and more movie acurate arm 'shields'? and I put 2 euhh.. what to call them ...? to his chest. after that I repainted the hole figure and then...
voila:D  My Bumblebee was complete!! whele almost that is because i want to make his battery pakkedge a bit cooler.. but thats something for later because I was buisy over more than a couple of weeks!
I really hope you hardcore transformer fans like it and maybe you have some suggestions I can use!! hope you all comment:D !!

oh yeah.. just wanted to say this is the first time I posted a thread so I dont know if I did everything ok..

WOW. awesome. Did you make those arm guards and collarbone Armour (Thats what there called) yourself? One suggestion I would have is cover up the batteries with the roof maybe in robot mode and make the collarbone Armour abit smaller.

You've really got a thing for Bumblebee, don't you?

This looks very nice. Great job with the armguards. The addition of the collarbone wings/armor is something I've never seen anyone done before, but they're a little too big IMO on yours. The LEDs are also too bright for the size of the figure, but great job working them into such a small space. Just some things that I hope would help. :)

Very nice. Did you put the light piping in his head or is it already there. I passed on ROTF BB because I didn't think he had light piping.

yeah made them all myself :D  I used lego:p  superglue and euhh.. what to call them.. whele here in holland we call them wattestaafjes.. my girlfriend uses them to remove makeup.. they are little sticks with euhh...
    wait.. I'll look for a picture:p
    [IMG]
    tadaa:p

whele I made them a bit smaller.. I agree on them being to big so I fixed it:D  yeah... have to admit to it.. I got a thing for B.. and my girlfriend hates him because of it:p
I think the lights are just fine.. not to bright.. remember.. these photos were taking in the dark without a lightflash of the camera.. so the lights look verry bright...

    sorry.. wtf is light piping:$??

oh yeah almost forgot.. heres a photo of his improved collarbones:D

I have a question.. what do you guys think of his shoulder cannons I gave him in my first custom?? should I use them again??

whele thanks for all your comments:D
    hope to hear more!!

Its the transparent blue plastic in his eyes.

I got a ROTF Ironhide and had to add the transparent eyes to be able to light them up.

    ooohhh ok:p
whele i used a hot glue gun and put it into the holes of his eyes! pushed the gleu in realy slowly to create new eyebals.. you can see in my first an second custom that it gives him verry round eyes and then I used a little bit of black paint to make them more movie acurate;)

Good job, mate, but I think you can use the Cannon Bumblebee's hands to remade, their proportion and figure are more like movie ~~

Welcome to Radicons. Always nice to see another fellow dutchie enter the world of kitbashing. Loving those led-eyes, although the spikes on his chest look a little odd.
As for the english term for wattenstaafjes: Cotton swabs.

Welcome to Radicons. Steadily the dutch kitbash community grows! There's four or five of us now here. And some Germans.

I love your work. Not only do you use a lot of creative freedom but you have also mastered the LED! Please teach me! (in dutch ofcourse)

If you want to buy any other ROTF figures which are not available in Holland you can always order them through arconia.com (belgium) or gerrutcamaro.nl which is a very respectable dutch dealer.

About your custom. I love the LEDs, and I think the cannons look hot! Though the collar armor and the armor on the arms are a bit thick. You look like you could use some styrene! (get it from your local hobby shop. If it carries trains, I'm sure they have styrene)

Please send me a PM and I will hook you up with some other dutch kitbashers. And maybe you can explain your LED techniques to me.

    Greetings from Amsterdam!

    iDD
