I have to agree. Call me old fashioned but I like the vehicle kibble. He looks like a TRANSFORMER again. You can tell he turns into a car! Kinda brings the excitement back from the first movie!

There's no way this is final. I think they just got really lazy and slapped his TLK chest on the original trilogy concept. The heads don't even match.

Out of all these reveals, Bee and Drift are the ones that seem really unfinished.

 

You know what I think happened here. Bee is all about proving his worth and hates being called inferior right? I'm movie 1 his old Camaro look was called a piece of crap so he got mad and rescanned to take anew car mode. And up until AOE, his look and worth was not challenged until Stinger came along lol. So what did he do? He not only took a new car mode but he took Stingers robot mode as well. But if I was to try and think like Bee does.

After Bee proved that he was still Superior to Stinger by killing "the cheap knockoff", he probably would not want to keep the look of something that is inferior to him right? So he probably took his old look back.

 

I think Hasbro has more of a hand in the film, and as such the designs are ones that will translate better into toys.

Yeah, apparently, they're controlling the creative direction of the movies going forward. Which, yes, I'm one of some who believe that.

 

Well, now I feel like a complete idiot that I wasted all my time to make a good frontal render of AOE Bee for my next scale chart.

 

Yeah looks like they went back to the 18' that Bee was in his early movie 1 concept art.

 

I guess looking at it I don't hate it, it's just that it feels unfinished. Glad that he's got his signature wings back, but I'm both relieved and irked that BB and Drift's renders contain car parts not on their actual car mode. If Hasbro is manning this design choice, my only wish is for them to perfect his feet engineering to make the wheel locked

Because whoever did that concept art needs to fall back. Even with reverting him back to designs 1-3...it just seems weird at this point.

 

Well,this is for sure my least favorite design out of all,he is more disappointing than Barricade.Comparing the head and the helmet,I have no clue how one could turn into another.The helmet itself has more detail,than the rest of his body.A bad idea to revert him back to the old design,the car is too slick for that.

 

On the official Twitter they put "young, scrappy, and hungry". Hungry for what? Blood? Justice?  
No wonder he looks so skinny.
