I don't know if this is old news, but I got my new Hot Rod mag today, and Bumblebee is on the cover, as in the actual car used in the movie. Camaro fans will like the articles, awesome mock-ups of a SS or RS, and a whole survey made just for GM, to tell them how you want your new Camaro's.
Yes, scans would be great. The upcoming Dodge Challenger is my first love, but the Camaro has really grown on me - especially the yellow version they're using for Bumblebee. The Yellow with black stripes looks much better than the Silver one they've been showing around, IMO.
I don't have a scanner, but the best I can do is take pictures of it. The one they used wasn't really a Camaro, but a GTO with a fiberglass shell.
Are you saying the Bumblebee in the film is just a Pontiac GTO wrapped in Camaro's clothing? Interesting. I guess they're close enough to fudge it in; the GTO wheelbase is 109.8in and the Camaro concept is 110.5in. Length is 189.8in and 186.2in, respectively. The Camaro is 7 inches wider than the GTO though; how do they keep the fiberglass body from hanging over the tires when it's 7 inches wider?
thats an easy fix they use enduaflex panels a fiberglass plastic mix gm use it on the pontiac fiero in the eighties its light wheight but very rigid youi can't hardly bend it only break it the one i hade in high school was in three fender benders and never had a dent in it but it messed up the other vehicles pretty bad
yea he's right i just got mine today and it also has a pic of brawl and it says that he's just a regular mustang with a saleen body kit, they had saleen do it so they could put the saleen name on it so ford wouldn't get mad.
HotRod.com has a a few excerpts from the magazine now on their website, including a picture of the cover.

http://5thgencamaro.blogspot.com/2006/09/bumblebee-exposed-in-hot-rod-magazine.html Here is the information we have been waiting for! If you haven't already seen it, pickup the November 2006 issue of HOT ROD magazine. There is a great story (with pictures) of Bumblebee in the making at Saleen in Troy, Michigan. According to the story, there were two versions of Bumblebee built for filming. The first one was completed in 30 days and both done in less than 45 days. Fabrication was done at Saleen's 280,000 square foot facility in Troy, Michigan. Steve Minn, vehicle coordinator for the film, recommended Saleen because they had built the Cobras used in xXx. GM looked to their inventory and found the current GTO was the closest to the concept Camaro in size. With data and some sections and wheelbase drawings from GM, Saleen began their fabrication. The two Pontiac GTOs came from GM's R&D fleet and Joe Miesak (Saleen) went to work. The fiberglass bodies were cast using the same molds GM used to build the two concept cars. The interior looks much like the concept Camaro because the dashboard shell covers the original GTO instrumentation and the seats and interior handles came directly from the GTO as well. GM had a say in the paint work. They altered the original stripes planned by Saleen to more closely resemble the Rally stripes from the 1969 Camaro. Here are some images from the HOT ROD magazine spread:
I used to have one, and I swear I had it in the shop on a monthly basis. they dont run well. actually it was my gain, I sold it for 11.500, bought a 99 civic, and its run like a dream for 3 years.
