SInce FOC is a sequel to WFC and WFC had a voice actor for BB what happened? How did BB lose his voice? Did it happen in WFC (I haven't played the game so I wouldn't know)

I remember hearing somewhere it's an event in game. Not entirely sure. But it didn't happen during WFC.

 

Well in the cinematic trailer, optimus was carrying BB who got shot in the chest and leaking energon. So yeah probably happens in game.(Maybe his voice box gets torn out like in prime)

It's mainly due to being part of the "Prime" continuity. It's the same reason why Cliffjumper looks the way he does. Just saying we better get dinobots in the Prime cartoon since this is all part of the damn Prime continuity and not G1. One last thing, FU Bay for silencing BB

 

This is still G1, with a twist. It fits with G1 more than not. The broader points, of the story just happen to work for Prime and the movies too...which drew from the best parts of G1.

I thought that was the guys behind the Transformer Prime show, Orci and Kurtzman--they wrote the first two movies...

Pretty much this. I thought I had read somewhere, and correct me if I'm wrong, Hasbro wanted the story being told in the games to be a jumping point for everything now and in the future. That way every past, present, and future series would share the same origin story from WFC/FOC. This is their effort to get a cohesive canon built for the franchise.

 

Ok, but you can blame Michael Bay for the reason that BB doesn't talk since they want to be able to tie into the films, right?

 

It's a shame said jumping point is so poorly crafted. I mean, if they couldn't even properly portray Starscream's betrayal in WFC I hesitate to put my faith in Bumblebee's voice box being so well handled. And even if it is, how does having your voice box crushed lead to you speaking a different language?

Blame Steve. He was the one that made Bumblebee mute.

Also, it is probably much easier to make a machine that can beep than one that can replicate speech.

 

I was hoping it would be an event in the game if we had to have it, but if not, then it'll probably be explained in a short speech or a flashback. I know that Bumblebee got mortally wounded taking a hit early on, or in a flashback or something, which may or may not be the cause of it.

 

No, I mean how in WFC Starscream is brought into the Decepticons and literally plotting to take over and making power grabs not a few hours later with no build-up or explanation.

In the first level (or is it actually the last? I'm confused here), Bumblebee sees Optimus and Megatron fighting. When Megatron charges up his cannon, Bumblebee dashes to Optimus and takes the shot. I'm assuming that's how he loses his voice.
