I’ve been of the mind for quite some time that this movie is the new launchpad.

I think it’s fairly evident they are never going back to a Bay TF6.

I’m basing this off the amount of times the actors have thrown around the word ‘reboot’ when it comes to this movie, and the Hasbro guys talking about seeing where the Bumblebee movie leads.

 

makes sense, we could be getting them the same way we did with bee, mpm3 and then the mom07 it's a bit of remold and re-engeenered of it.

 

Honestly Paramount’s panel has me so excited. Bumblebee, Overlord, A Quiet Place sequel. We haven’t even gotten to mission Impossible yet.

Well it came out of the writer’s room that was supposed to be part of a whole cannonically accurate future. Then they announced after it there would be a reboot of sorts, and a pause. I have been following this movie like a hawk and I’ve never seen any inclination of this actually being the reboot. But I certainly hope it is!

 

I'm with you on that, now if they could just clear out Jazz's origin name, that would be perfect.

 

I'm basing it off of everything I've read about the movie.

 

I understand it came from the writers room, but the script was also re-written after by Kelly Fremon Craig, according to Hailee Steinfeld. I don’t think it’s unrealistic to think changes were made, keeping that in mind.

I’ve said it before in a few other posts, but I *think* the direction they will take is that it will be largely a stand alone movie, with some vague connections you could draw to the other 5 movies if you really wanted to. That way, they have an out either way wether the movie does poorly, or does well and they can continue from there.

 

I’ve been keeping a close eye on it myself. And while you could very well be right and I could be wrong, neither of us know what’s going on for sure. Paramount might not even know. But to me, it seems like the whole idea behind this was ‘see where it leads’.

 

If we know anything about movie executives, it’s that they love money. I think it’s a safe bet to say that if this movie is critically and financially well received, they will capitalize on that with a follow up.
