You're right, it is the VW engine, albeit a mirrored image of one. You can even spot the distributor and alternator pulley.

 

That\'s a solid looking alt mode. Looks just like MP21\'s

 

I feel like with all things but price there's ebb and flow, prime had some pretty nice figures but RID started off a little meh in terms of quality then it ticked up significantly in the middle and then back down at the end(almost all gimmick figures). My personal opinion on prime wars toys is that the combiners and headmasters that are supposed to be are pretty great but for the most part the the ones that got ham fisted into a gimmick arent(exception being cyclonus, blurr, kup ,the dinobots and the potp leader figures). The legends class guys are all pretty great IMO. The movie toys have always been hit and miss to me from film to film but SS is fixing that... And my point of reference is always G1 toys because of the rain check debacle of the early 80s. I got a goddamn broken in package prowl from kiddie city for Christmas cause all toysrus had were rainchecks that weren't gonna be fulfilled till god knew when. Since then I've always thought "well at least it isn't that broken prowl".

 

Im like thise toy but i reeeeaaaly hope they use the starscream design from the trailer!

 

This looks way better than what a gimmick toy has any right to be. Props to that designer!

Not sure if it's the simplification of the movie designs or what, but this looks way too good for a gimmicky toy.

Not into the movie toys, though this one certainly skews closer to my liking.

All that having been said this not bad for a toy dominated by a sound box gimmick.

That is called master piece bumblebee toy from Japan this toy is made little kid for little kids to buy not adults little kids will not care what bot mode looks like as long it’s easy to transform and fun to play with

 

Why?

 

This toy looks like a turd. Vehicle mode looks very, very good. Boy, that oddly proportioned bot mode is sad compared to the cuddly looking Bee from the trailers.

 

I am absolutely digging this.
