If I recall correctly, the 1984 wave came packaged in vehicle mode, while the 1985 wave came in robot mode.

From what I can recall that is correct, just be careful there still seems to be some KO G1 bumblebees on ebay as well.

Let me know the condition of the bubble on that toy please.

I asked the Seller for close-up bubble pics a couple times, and there was no pics.....just lame excuses.

    Thanks!!

I'd pass on that item if he can't help you out with some more pics.

I took your advice before you gave it:)

I may be wrong....but I believe the person that started this thread already bought it for around $270.00

bumblejumper for $270 is a great deal if it's authentic.

^That's not a bumblejumper, it's just a red bumblebee. Bumblejumper has a completely different car shell.

oh. I always thought bumblejumper was just a red bumblebee packaged as a yellow bumblebee (perhaps by mistake which is why they are so rare). I know Cliffjumper has a different car shell than Bumblebee.

    Not true either.

Bumblebee was available in yellow and red.

Cliffjumper was available in red and yellow.

Bumper aka "Bumblejumper" is yet another similar mold. He was only available in yellow, packaged on Cliffjumper cards. (It's not entirely impossible that a red version was released as a Transformer, or that he was also packaged on Bumblebee cards - but to this day no packaged sample has surfaced, so this seems highly unlikely.)

I thought Bumblejumper was a yellow Cliffjumper with a Cliffjumper face.

Not an expert, but I see major differences between the Bumblejumper + Cliffjumper toys. The most prominent being the rear spoiler/fin on Cliffjumper...and not on Bumblejumper.

I have a mosc Bumblejumper, but do not own a Cliffjumper. I think the sticker on the back is different as well.

I have seen 3 different Ebay auctions in the last 2 years that the Seller thinks he has a Bumblejumper, and actually has a Cliffjumper for sale....So it is a common mistake.

    Cliffjumper's toy is a Choro-Q-ish version of a Porsche 924.

Bumblejumper/Bumper's toy is based on a Mazda Familia 1500XG.

Two completely different molds that have as much in common as Bumblebee and Cliffjumper.
