The scores should be calculated and posted closer to the 21st, but in the meantime, I thought it'd be nice to have a consolidated thread for predictions and discussions of this.

So, what do you guys think?

 

I predict an 83 rotten tomatoes score. I'm concerned though that some critics will have their minds made up before seeing it because they hate the Bay movies

 

68-76% in RT.

 

70-80%

 

63% to 71%

 

Somewhere above the first movie (57% on rt)

 

I say 70-80%

More reviews from casual audience stated the movie is more like average movie. So my guess is around 60-70% on RT

 

When the RT score will be posted? Some reviews already been out there.

As for my guess, maybe 70+ metascore. I'm not predicting RT score because I don't have idea on how that works.

 

It depends on how many critics straight up give it a bad review. Even if the vast majority of critics give an average to good review, that would come up to 80%-90% RT score since it's based on approval. The metascore, however, would be like 70 since that's based on the actual x out of 10 rating each critic gives.

 

For RT I'm predicting 64%. I don't think it's a great movie but from a kid's film perspective many critics will think it's solid which is what I thought it was.

 

Bumblebee currently holds an approval rating of 100% based on 12 reviews, with an average rating of 7.8/10.

Ign is the only one who brought metacritic score down. Interestingly, the actual review sounds super positive.

 

Well for a transformers movie it's a great achievement!

...which is not hard to achieve since the bar is soooo low to make a good transformers movie.

 

Yeah but just because the bar is low, doesn’t mean that they HAVE to award this one high scores.

But I see what you mean. It’s not hard to make a good one when the others have been so bad lol.

 

Does anyone else feel something off about the IGN review? For me the 7/10 rating made no sense for the way the review was written, which imo felt more like an 8-9/10.

Shouldn’t be surprised at 100% (for now) since I have yet to see a negative review. Still, I never thought I see the day that a Transformers movie gets 100% right from the get go.

 

Everyone is saying that. Even in their own comments. The write up doesn’t match the score. They were just trying to appear less easily-satisfied.
