I want to dedicate this thread to discuss that "Bumblebee break apart and rebuild" scene in the most recent trailer. What do you think happened? Why? How does it work? How do you feel and think about it? Discuss it all out!

I personally, which I said in another thread, can only gather 2 resonable explanations. Either it's an ability that hasn't been explored in the movies so much, that the transformers can break apart limbs and then reattach them (this explains how Starscream could reattach his arm so quickly and easily in ROTF after Prime broke it off in the forest fight). That explanation brings alot of plot holes to the death of Jazz though. The other is that it's something Cade invented that has been implemented into Bee. Whatever it is, I don't know how I feel about it

Probably a modification, just like DOTM stealth vehicle technology.
Who knows - Cade, Izzy or that old Junk truck - anyone could have been the mechanic

Also in that scene, right at the end with that guy hanging from his face, you can see Bee's mouth.

It is probably something similar to how Frenzy could survive being decapitated in the first movie. We also saw that in the original Generation 1 cartoon. Transformers can survive being taken apart, though I have no clue how Bee can put himself back together.
Unless he's secretly a Junkion. They could put themselves back together easily.

Because Bumblebee is a Head Master.

We just saw the first glimpse of the Headmaster tech, people. It looks fucking awesome.

He is no ordinary cybertronian that's for sure. I don't know really, there are a lot of reasons why this could be happening though the whole scene gives the impression that it is something new, perhaps a new ability that he is still learning to control cause he really looked dizzy after he fell apart. There is a red substance on his joints so maybe that's the clue?

By the way for the 1 000 000th time, NO he doesn't have a mouth, like actual lips. Take a closer look and you'll see! It's just a few metal pistons.

Okay, after seeing it again I have to say that it seems his body falls apart following a certain pattern. Like not every single part of him brakes down, there is a very structured way of how it happens. His arms detach from the shoulder joints and then from the ellbows. So he is sorta like a broken doll, it's actually very reminisent of this!

i'd like to think all Cybertronians have that ability. Perhaps Jazz is still alive somewhere out there.

That's a pretty good summary of it. I'm guessing Bee wasn't blown apart but rather he used a mental command to structurally break himself down. It was a natural process built into him while Jazz was forcibly pulled apart kind of like how there's a natural way to disassemble a machine but if you just rip it apart it can't be fixed. Bee's joints separate it's not the same as having an arm joint blown off the pieces and parts are either gone or damaged. Bee won't be able to do this with optimus since his door doors were literally snapped off forcibly.

Very good explanation and observation. I bet that this is how it actually is and it all is an ability some/every transformer have.

I've said this before, but with the lasting power that a lot of the Transformers have in regards to doing things like reattaching limbs, being just a decapitated head, or in Bee's case here, it's no wonder Prime always goes for the head.

I imagine that's the weak point and prevents any sort of thing like this from happening.

So, Transformers are, in a way, kinda like zombies.

You're right, on top of that Bumblebee's torso seems to be intact. In Jazz's case his abdomen area was torned out from his pelvis and therefore a lot of nerves and wires were cut while Bumblebee only physically separates his components and doesn't actually snatch any part of his body.

What's most interesting to be honest is that unlike previous seemingly similar scenarios his limbls appear to have motor functions on their own! What I'm trying to say is his arms and legs move on their own, kinda like a zombie's cut limbs. That definitely did not happen to Frenzy! Or maybe there are some sorts of magnetics in his joints?

If anyone thinks Bee dies, we just learned he's indestructible. Bravo Hasbro

they seem to combine in the way that devastator pulled his parts together.

i see it that all the transformers have the ability to force their own body parts back together via their spark power.

the reason we have not seen that with frenzy is because they simply didn't think of like that back then, altough he somehow created legs out of his head.
so he did kinda have similar powers.

As mentioned above, he most certainly can still be destroyed. This ability will probably only work if he disassembles himself, not if someone else rips him apart. For example like Prime did to his wings in the trailer before, those can't be reconnected.
