    Hi everyone,

I ran a search, but didn't see this. Seibertron.com just put up a notice about this. Also, please accept my apologies if this isn't news, but, I haven't heard anything about this before.

It looks like Bumblebee might be getting a comic series! A website named Comic Book Resources put up an interview with an writer/artist named Zander Cannon. In the interview he says:

"By the time this hits anywhere, I imagine it'll be okay-- I'm writing a Bumblebee miniseries that spins off of a new semi-reboot of the Transformers continuity at IDW. I'm only in the process now of writing a proposal, so I can't say any more."

Here is a link to the interview:

Comic Book Resources > CBR News: Zander Cannon talks Top Ten, T-Minus & Transformers

I wonder what the reboot means?

Though I don't really read comics, I always like seeing the artwork that's posted from them.

    I wish I could draw. :(

    ANOTHER reboot?

That's two "soft reboots" in one continuity in the space of a year!

Hopefully it's G1 Bee. I like all the G1 based comics by IDW.

Given the timing, I wonder if this would be a Movie Sequel mini in the style of Reign of Starscream. Though where would that leave the semi-reboot?

Another reboot??? No offense to IDW cause I like AHM but maybe they don't know how to handle this property.

Maybe they are rebooting the bayverse comics to align more with the actual movies? Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't we already know there have been some things that the new movie contradicts?

Nah, IDW seem to have positioned their comic series as THE movie prequel and backstory providers. Even Alan Dean Foster's upcoming The Veiled Threat prequel was written around The Reign of Starscream so he didn't contradict it.

Stuff that significantly contradicted the movie (such as the original prequel by Furman and Ryall) have essentially been retconned out of existence by IDW themselves. Alliance/Defiance were written based on Revenge's script, as I understand.

Didn't know that. Well then... I'm assuming it's G1 Bumblebee.

But Wheelie DID get his own comic. And it was quite good.

Interesting to see this BB news come up now, since it's been out there for about a week now.

Given the fact they're calling it a reboot series, I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume it's going to be based on G1 Bumblebee.

I don't exactly see how they could, or a reason as to why they would reboot the movie comics.

I hope this guy is referring to AHM as the soft reboot. I'm honestly finding it hard to believe a comics company would do a SECOND reboot barely a year after they did the first.

I don't think he meant a second reboot. I think he's referring to AHM as the semi-reboot. It wouldn't make much sense to do another soft reboot. Regardless, I'm looking forward to a mini centered around BB.

How is All Hail Megatron a reboot? Jumping a year into the future doesn't count as a reboot in my book. A reboot requires ret-conning things that happened in the past, which I don't see with AHM. Especially, with Maximum Dinobots filling in some of the gaps.

Nobody said it was for sure:

Emphasis on might. Also, for all we know they could have guaranteed him the project of "A comic about Bumblebee", and the proposal is merely a matter of what the story will be, when it takes place, and what direction it will go.

I really worry when we get so many reboots, it isn't good for the book. There has to be some continuity otherwise all the stories lose their impact - it'll be like the cartoons where everything is reset by the next episode. Marvel got it right - even when the stories sucked, at least they felt like they were going somewhere.

I've enjoyed the latter stages of AHM, and I'd like them to stick with it - I can't see it concluding completely in 4 issues, so I'd like to see some fallout via spotlights and another maxi-series.

Case in point - didn't Reflector get shafted in Spotlight Wheelie? What's he doing in AHM?

Hasn't every series since G1 been a reboot?
