I was looking for a BB like this for a long time and finally found him at eBay.(w/out shell)
Thought I´d show you. nothing special as you can see:

    Rims: added silver
    Head: Blue eyes
    Arms: added yellow
    Headlights and rear: added colors
    exhaust tip: added silver

Back in the late 80s my brother had this guy including the shell...
    I´m really into Bumblebee....

Nice job! With a bit of articulation here and there, it would be the perfect G1 representation of Bumblebee. Keep up the good work!

It's amazing what a few little touch ups can do for a figure. Hasbro should do this in the first place.

If it makes you feel any better, this lil' guy was released with Jazz, Grimlock, and Starscream sans shells at K-mart as "Legends". I've always enjoyed these figures, and I really like what you've done with this one :)  Great work :thumb

I'm not sure if you guys know, but there's a light red/yellow KO of this guy floating around, as I got one many moons ago :)

I was recently lucky enough to pick one of these up for my wife at a pretty reasonable price (as she loves her some BB). After looking at his paint worn bumper & peeling-off sticker), and seeing your BB, we've decided to take a crack at fixing up our own figure!

I was originally thinking of just repainting his bumper, but after seeing your improvements; we might have to copy what you've done here! Thanks for the inspiration to touch up our figure!

This was one of my favorite Bumblebees for a while. It was also the first official toy I ever bought at a Botcon (2001, Ft. Wayne, IN.) Did some touch-ups myself (mostly with his faded bumper and head/brake lights). Definitely a nice figure.

Good updates to the paint scheme. :)

It's nice to see somebody thinking the same way as myself. I always thought that the Pretender Classics figures would have looked better with more paint apps!

Sure. But back then, they were merely toys. These days, TFs are legendary.
Sometimes I long for the "easy to transform toys" like in te 80s.
Take leader OP, it takes about 5- 10 minutes to transform, not to mention using him in my stop motions...

I´d love to have an OP like this here:

Would be nice in the movie!
