Bay and Di Bonaventura should have an absolute minimal influence over this film.

A 17-18 year old meets bumblebee. Again it's a the story about a fucking human where transformers are the background characters. Why can't it be the other way around?? Bumblebee meets a 17-18 year old

Not me. I've never been disappointed by these movies and I never will. People hype themselves up for the wrong reasons haha.

I'd like to see what his robot mode would look like if he appears as a VW Beetle, and what is shade of yellow would be.

I also hope to see a more than just Bumblebee and a Decepticon. I wanna see at least three Autobots and a couple Decepticons.

Could Hound and/or Drift appear? They have been on Earth since WWII...

It is sad. This isn't even the first thread to use di Bonaventura's grandstanding quote to make everyone think Bumblebee is going to be a Beetle in the next film. There will be just as much Beetle in it as there was in the '07 film. On screen for a few seconds in one scene. Maybe it will be Bumblebee's body, maybe it won't, but if it is, he'll reformat into a Camaro as early as possible.

My guess is it will be a similar transformation sequence to what he has now, with the front grille splitting in half and forming the pecs, and the back half of the car in the legs.

Hyped up that he is vw? He\'s got a VW in TLK flashback. Not the Bug, that heavy duty VW armored tank lol

So it's about a girl fallen in love with a robot soldier. I'm sold. I'm in need of Robot-Human love.

Hmm, have anyone though about resemblance of the character to Herbie the Love Bug. I'd really like if they didn't call Bumblebee a rip off :(

Meh. At this point I don't really give a **** if he's a VW or not. I do, however, like the prospect of him going back to being an old-model Camaro instead of another one of these newer numbers, which is surprising since originally I never particularly liked the "old" look in TF '07.

Because telling it primarily from a human perspective makes the film more relatable. The movie loses it's sense of wonder by having it told primarily from the Transformers' perspectives. Think the Arrival to Earth scene from Transformers 1, which I imagine is the kind of feeling that the Bumblebee movie is looking to instill again.

I'd like the mainline films to focus a bit more on the Transformers now since we've been through all that, but a smaller, more intimate film like this that focuses on one specific Transformer should have a strong human element I think.

If it's set in the 80s and the BB Transforms into a VW bug, and BB doesn't sport a overall more G1 look -I quit. I mean that would be the ultimate insult to 80s fans.

I just don't understand the skull face with gag look, it does not scream bumble bee to me. No version of the character looked like that. At one point he had face plate, that would be acceptable.

I'm certainly interested even though Bee has been my least favorite character since the second movie. I've heard good things about Travis Knight but apparently this is his live action debut(?). I hope he blows us away but I won't hold my breath.
