Hey guys. My first memories of buying an actual Transformers product were receiving a little combo toy package that had Cliffjumper at the top and an audio tape below it, which, if I'm right, is the one I still have - "Sun Raid." It might have been a book and tape combo, but the thing I remember the most was that the toy was marketed at the top of the package. That's how I bought both my Bumblebee and my Cliffjumper when I was little.

I searched TFU.info to see if they had any images of these and couldn't find them. Of course, I might not be looking in the right place. I started messing around with the Seibertron photo database and then got lazy and figured I'd ask.

BTW, if this belongs in the Toyark, mods, please shuffle-a-loo it along!

I vaguely remember these. The Ladybird books and cassettes were sold as packs together, but I'm sure they were also sold with the Minibots at some point. I'm afraid my memories are fuzzy, and my Dad (who'd have bought them back then) can't remember ever getting any of those.

I'm sure I've seen them, and I know book combos existed.

That's how I got my Cliffjumper back in the day. I remember the toy being packaged at the top too, and the packaging being bright yellow, but other than that the memory is fuzzy. I'd like to see a packaged sample too if anybody still has one.

I believe that there were some scans of them in an issue of Lee's Toy Review when they did the G1 Transformers Build-a-Guide.
I'll have to find the issues, and if I find them, I'll scan them.

I have that pack. I remember in the tape, Snarl was just laying in some destroyed buildings sucking in energy through his back plates.

I still have the yellow Cliffjumper. Back them, I pretended he was Bumblebee since I didn't have a Bumblebee back then.

That sounds familiar; I sorta remember the words "Listen and Fun" being in that fru-fru curly 70s font.

I remember those. I saw one of the books w/cassette at a pawnshop 6-7 years ago. Terrible art.
