If look at bumblebee in the second movie he is a Camaro. Since Chevy has a new Camaro ready for production(ZL1) Bee has some similarities to the 2009 ZL1. He has the same grill design and headlights. So if you are a Camaro person be buy a ZL1.
Cool. Personally I'd love to own one, but I can't drive. Also I don't think it's out in the UK. ...Why even bother posting that? I mean, really?
No it isn't. The ZL1 is a sports version of the Camero. In TF1, BB was a 2007 Camero Concept. This concept was put into production. In ROTF, BB was a Camero Z28 Concept. This model was meant to go into production but was cancelled due to GMs bailout by the government. In DOTM, BB will be a modified 2011 Camero. This model cannot be bought in showrooms yet. The ZL1 is unrelated to BB, except for the car they are both based on.
The model BB is in TF3 is custom. It's actually loosely based on the "Jay Leno" Camaro concept from 2009 (2010 Chevrolet Jay Leno Camaro -- Autoblog). The ZL1 also uses similar styling. But neither are exact to TF3 BB. Jay Leno Camaro However, the production Camaro was not the same as the first 2 movies, but they still released a Transformers package for it. They could do similar with the ZL1, since it is close. I doubt it though, because the ZL1 is a performance package. Supercharger, 550 horsepower, racing add ons for the brakes and suspension, etc. They don't even offer an automatic version of it. It won't be cheap or for the masses. So I doubt we'll get a TF package specifically for that. The car itself actually started out as a Camaro this time though. The first 2, were custom fabricated outsides/cabin with Pontiac guts. So there you go.
No no no. Bumblebee IS a VW Beetle. What was so tough about that? Why not go ahead an make Optimus Prime a submarine while they were at it.
GEEWUN!!! You're about 4 years too late to moan about it. He's not a Beetle because they wanted to avoid any comparisons to Herbie. Makes perfect sence in a live action movie. If you don't like it then go watch the '86 movie.
VW had something to say about that too. But instead they got their name in the first movie when Bumblebee smashed up the Beetle. You'd think VW would have just rather allowed Hasbro to use a Beetle after that one!
Although Bee is not a ZL1 Camaro, he does share some styling cues from the concept shown at last year's Detroit Auto Show as well as Leno's concept from 2009, and is still a rather nice looking car regardless. And take note, you fan's of Front-Wheel-Drive... Bee has a spoiler and he is RWD, a spoiler actually serves a purpose on RWD cars. Those big alluminum wings just look stupid and serve no purpose on your little 1.7L Civic or 1.8L Celica GT-S. If you want downforce, look into front spoilers and areodynamic body kits and leave the metal wings alone. Thus concludes my car rant for today!
Unless you're a clever cookie who bought the GT-4, then it was 4WD. I like trains, when was Optimus a train
