Here's a thought. We, as collectors, will probably scoff at the idea, but if you're REALLY that mad about so many Bumblebees clogging shelves, give this a shot.

Go to your BB-clogged store, armed with a highlighter marker of any color. Mark ALL the bumblebee packages in a way that no one else would recognize but you, having done it. Wait a week. See how many of those same Bumblebees are still on the pegs.

Look at the bright side. At least there will be plenty of Transformers Prime Bumblebee figures on the shelves to keep those movie Bumblebee figures company. Instead of some drab color the Transformers section of the stores will be a nice bright yellow so everyone will know where the Transformers are at.

    Hasbro, Beesanity is here!

    Dear Hasbro,

if you claim that BB sell well, you might want to take a look into this thread.
Please people around the world, please take a picture of transformers section at your local stores and upload it here.

    Not again.

Wait a few weeks and check if those Bumblebees are still there.

I would, except that my local Wal-Mart is pretty evenly loaded down with DotM Bumblebee, Crankcase, Ratchet, and a few Roadbusters. And SWTF Anakin/Darth Vader. Oh boy, the Darth Vaders. Worse shelf warmer than any Bumblebee could ever hope to be, right there.

And with a recent TRU sale, the few FE Bumblebees they had left, and the Nitro and Cyberfire Bumblebees all sold out, leaving a single Air Raid and Dark Steel.

Where Leader 'Bees exist, he's sharing equal space with Ironhide.

    So...

I've seen some places like that.

Kind of sad to see DOTM, some ROTF, and now Prime Bumblebees hanging out together.

My Wal-Mart has no PRiD deluxes. Zero. Even Bumblebees are gone.

There is a lone Legion Bumblebee hanging out, and a couple of Bumblebee Bot Shots.

DotM, on the other hand - lot of stuff collecting dust. Laserbeak, Specialist Ratchet, Cyberfire Bumblebee, the usual suspects.

"Beesanity" (or I'd prefer here "Beeinsanity", which implies the more crazy nature of this instance, though I have to say that the term is very clever - well played, op!) came upon us in 2007 with the live action movie. Since then, TRANSFORMERS has been a huge success and phenomena that hasn't seen the likes since it's original introduction in 1984 with G1. People who didn't care much or at all about TRANSFORMERS prior to 2007 have became enamored with the franchise, and Bumblebee in particular.

That being said, as much as these figures appear to be "shelfwarming" now (and I'm not arguing against that notion), these figures will sell, especially around the holidays when parents are Christmas shopping for their kids as well as friends shopping for each other. Personally, as much as I share in the frustration here, I'm fine with it as it presents us the option to get figures that would probably otherwise never see the light of day.

Anyways, I thought I'd play devil's advocate here as well as attempt to interject some reason in hopes of simmering down the frustration. :)

My Target looks close to that. There was one each of CJ and WJ, too. I can't believe I found that lone Ratchet sitting on the base shelf on top of some Marvel figures. My Wal-Mart has NOTHING except a few legends and DOTM Thundercracker/Specialist Ratchet wave. TRU has nothing but BB's.
