I want this guy so bad! First one I've seen, gonna bid up to $ 300 personally... http://cgi.ebay.com/Transformers-Pr...goryZ753QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem image mirrored from eBay ...front page news?
Hmmm....nothing really new, but, I too plan to get this guy when he comes out. I've recently decided to buy most, if not all, of the Animated toys, so this will be the first like where I'll attempt to be a completionist (Classics came close, but, I personally don't like the minicons or the legends).
Why pay $300 for a garishly colored prototype now, when you could just pay $20 for a legit one in like 2-3 months? Bulkhead isn't an instant buy for me, but depending on how much I like the show and his character, I may end up getting the less-than-stellar toy. Hey, it worked for Rhinox!
Which only begs the question, "Who would pay $1000 now for a prototype painted by some guy when you could spend $20 on a legit one in like 2-3 months?"
This won't be out in 2-3 months. Regardless I beleive this testshot has been seen before so sending it to the Ebay forum.
Super Meg - why would this thread not be news and rumors, while 3 days ago, BB and prime on ebay made front page? just curious, because I saw test shots of BB and prime months ago.
sane, you might think. before you start name calling research your silly thoughts before making them into posts so people who pay 2k or 3k for a movie deluxe are what then? cause I've known and seen lots of them.
All he's saying is, it makes no sense to buy I figure for a large sum of money, when with a little patience he can get one for a minimal amount. I personaly agree. Regardless, this thread was moved because that prototype has been shown at least twice before, the Prime and BB test shot's having. (unless you count the ones shown at SDCC, but those were not final product samples, these are judging from the plastic.)
$2000-$3000 for a $10 toy? Well, I wouldn't call it "financially prudent". I'm curious, what does the extra $1990-$2990 get a person? Hey, if you can turn that kind of profit, more power to you, but, still, a person willing to pay that kind of mark-up is... intriguing at the very least. No offense, btw.
Those were colored testshots of figures not seen in great detail in the past. This has been seen in actual colors. Plus we've seen images of the all red Bulkhead test shot before. Still, nice find. And knock off the trolling guys.
I'm sorry, this was the first time I've seen Bulkhead for sale on ebay. And judging from the front page'd "optimus and bumblebee on Ebay" 2 days ago, i thought it was a good, unique find. I visit this board several times a day, and have not seen any mention of him. Weren't several shots of ALL TF:animated posted from SDCC months ago? I am not understanding the difference between someone selling those on ebay 2 days ago, versus someone selling bulkhead on ebay. does this mean when (if) i find a colored bulkhead on ebay, it will be frontpaged? Also, what is this 'trolling' ?
I've seen a couple Bulkhead prototypes on eBay...and only one went over $100. The one that went over $100 wasn't red...can't remember what color it was though.
I don't even think the "Anime"-colored Masterpiece Starscream prototype (or whatever it was) from a few months back went for over 500 bucks. . .
