Hey everyone, I thought it was time I finally share the project I've been working on for the past few months! This is Buckshot. She's a character who was visually co-designed between myself and my girlfriend, and fully engineered, modeled, rigged, animated, printed, and assembled by myself. This was my senior thesis, my capstone project to graduate from my university. I was going for originality with this project, as far as my research was concerned, there had never been an actual transformer with a deer alternate mode aside from a deer based Battle Beast which doesn't quite count, and the name "Buckshot" appears to have only been used once in Transformers media on a throwaway Minicon in the Unicron Trilogy. Besides I thought the use of the name was very much in the "spirit" of Transformers. I'm very proud of this project and very happy with how it turned out. She was designed to be a deluxe class figure and I designed the parts count to reflect that, but due to the limitations of how accurate my printer can be at small sizes I made her a very large figure; 14 inches tall in bot mode. This also added some grandeur to it when I presented the project. I put hundreds of hours into this project, and happy to finally show it off here. The project had three self appointed separate pieces. I decided that would include the actual 3D printed transformable figure, a poster to advertise it, and an animation/behind the scenes video. So here they are! And this should go without saying but don't use this character/design.

I love her so much! She's adorable! I'd take her at 14 inches to appreciate the pure beauty. Curious, were you inspired by rid when designing this? It has the eyes and the overall vibe.

Truelly astonishing work! I wish I could have been there for the presentation to see people's reactions. Any chance this will make it's way to Shapeways or Thingiverse?

Exactly! I’m totally getting an rid vibe. But she’s so not a decepticon. She’s got the beast theme but she just looks too nice.

Capstone project grades are usually pretty secondary to graduation. Congrats, and also good job keeping a job and moving forward! You should post this other places and get your name out there.

Do you plan on selling? I'd like to try printing one myself.

    I like it.

Sadly, I can't help but think of how easily she's probably taken down by any car based enemy who happens to catch her in his headlights.
