At the risk of being the only person who points a camera in her direction (even if it's only a low-res camera-phone)...

I think your doing a public service :lol

Car mode looks fine, but I have to say as I'm sure others will express in a more opinionated fashion that bot mode really does not do it for me. Especially when you see her next to Decepticharge like that like wow it's like night and day. That and you really notice how Decepticharge sticks out as really the best to come out of that mold too (didnt like Windcharger much either).

Thanks for the pic's though, like I said it's a public service as despite not really wanting the mold to begin with seeing more pic's of her at least reduces the risk of impulse buying :lol

Mine's on the way too. I might also point a camera at her. :)

Love the mold, love the car mode, HATE that salmon paint. She's gonna need some work in bot mode.

    Still glad I bought it.

Yeah.... Decepticharge wins. (IMO, of course, but it's about as close opinion ever gets to fact. ;)  )

She looks like Windcharger or Decepticharge in drag. The colour scheme is nice, I just wish they gave her a new head.

I'm sorry, but this mold dosen't fit Arcee at all. It looks like Decepticharge is cosplaying Arcee as a drag-impersonator.

The pictures make her look white. However, I thought she was silver. Can you confirm the color. Also, other than pics do you have any comments on the figure good or bad?

The figure is a mix of pink bits and creamy off white bits. The photos on the box do make the white parts look silver but they are not.

And the figure rocks. It looks a bit daft but it still a nice little transformer.

She wasn't intended to be silver, the official color is "Platinum White Pearl". My photos are kind of sh*tty, but it's definitely a white rather than a silver, with a pearlescent sheen. The most accurate photos so far seem to be from the Shizuoka Hobby Show preview: robot mode, vehicle mode.

The head is obviously the most contentious part. I was planning to wait and see before judging it, but I do think that even without any remolding, they could have improved the head, maybe painting the face silver, to make the rest of the head look more like a helmet, although she hasn't traditionally had a silver face. It is worth remembering though that Black Widow (Blackarachnia) wasn't going to get any remolding either, but nobody seemed to mind.

The paintjob is pretty nice, I think it might be slightly down from the standard we used to get in Binaltech, but it's not bad. I haven't seen it mentioned, but the gun barrel (and the part it is attached to) is also recolored to match her. I don't think the robot mode highlights are as loud or inappropriate as some ppl have said. It's certainly her palette, and there needs to be enough to offset the extensive amounts of white pearl still visible. I do appreciate the fact almost all the black parts seen in Overdrive and Decepticharge's robot modes have been eliminated, with the exception of the spoiler and tires, making it look significantly different.

Head aside, the only thing that bothers me in robot mode is that the underside of the trunklid sitting on her waist is grey instead of Decepticharge's black, when there isn't any grey anywhere else on her, making the screws there more visible. TakaraTomy's stock photos position this part badly, looking like a pot-belly, but if you transform it correctly, it doesn't have this issue and gives more prominence to the chest.

She's definitely die-cast, has a heft to her and needs to be posed carefully as this mold is top-heavy in robot mode.

As far as her robot mode body shape, no, it's not overly feminine, but the Ford GT and Corvette aren't particularly either, and the S2000 as Arcee is not something new or without precedent. The vehicle mode is probably the closest modern vehicle available in the BT line to match her G1 futuristic mode.

The first time I transformed her, the passenger door popped off. I've never had that before on Overdrive, Windcharger or Decepticharge. It went back on, but it doesn't seem to fold open as far as the driver's door, so it won't sit against her left leg - it needs to sit out slightly. Not too big a deal.

Overall, I think they mostly did the best that they could with the parameters they had, without creating another version of an existing BT character, like we got with Meister, Bluestreak and Convoy. At this stage, with the line shutting down for Alternity, she wasn't going to get her own unique mold, so it would be either rework one of "the boys", or don't do her at all. Decepticharge was an imaginary character anyway, with a head repurposed from an abandoned Windcharger design, so a repaint of that into any known character was always going to be sketchy. Except maybe a Stunticon.

She comes with an Alternators-style instruction sheet, the "soft-top down" accessory, and a generic Binaltech stand (no Honda, S2000 or Arcee labelling). I would buy third-party trading cards for BTs 17-22. The bottom of the box has the BT story, "Part 3", but it's all Klingon to me.

If you simply can't get past the head, there's probably not much for you here. If you can get past the head, or you have either knowledge or expectations of a third-party head, then I think you'll be happy. Is she perfect? No, but neither is she awful. I'm inclined to place Alt Rollbar, Camshaft and Swerve (IMO, the laziest of the repaints, even with Swerve getting a new head) beneath her, and grade her somewhere around Alt Ricochet and BTA Alert: lazy, but forgivable considering the extensive deco alterations, and distinctive and significant enough to make her interesting.

If I look into her face, I have difficulty seeing her in there, but I don't regret buying her. I'm happy to call her Arcee if that's who TakaraTomy say she is, and line her up with my other figures.

I got my Arcee today from TFSource, and I'm really confused about her.

On one hand, the pink and pearl is definitely her scheme, but that head...

With Windcharger, there was a distinct difference between him and Decepticharge, no matter how similar the body molds were.
On Arcee all I see is, like Autobotmarine says, Decepticharge in Cosplay.

Decepticharge: "Who's a pretty, pretty Decepticon?" *giggle* "Oh, HOT ROD, you devil, you!"
Dead End: "Hey Decepticharge, you in here? Have you seen my OH HOLY GOD!"
Decepticharge: "EEK! DON'T YOU KNOW HOW TO KNOCK??"

Yeah, she's definitely next on my list to sculpt a new head for. Something slightly more...feminine.

Anyways, the posters above have pretty much covered all the goods: She's white and pearl with shades of pink and the occasional grey or black piece and shoulders to make any linebacker jealous. Like Deejeemon, my already paint-scratched doors love to come off, and I'm pretty sure they replaced the magnets in her steering column with a big plug-thing...or am I misremembering?

The build quality on my particular figure isn't so hot, as the pearl paint is applied pretty sloppily across her front end -- not nearly as smooth as any of my other Binaltechs (Of which I have three.) And also, there are a few places, right out of the box, where the paint has been visibly scratched off of the bodywork on the doors and in front of the trunk. Kinda bummer there, because among my arsenal of touch-up paints I don't have a single white pearlescent paint. :redface2:

I've already voiced my dislike of Binaltech's pointless metal parts at length, so I won't rehash it here, except to remind that her Shoulders, doors, and front fenders are all diecast, and both subject to terrible scratches and being too heavy for the weak pin joints to support. On my Arcee, both of her shoulders are limp from the weight, so she can't even hold up her gun properly. (C'mon, she's just a girl after all! Why pack on the pounds?)

So in summary: A nice idea with poor execution, predictably bad QC, awful paint, and cheap construction. Despite all that, a new head would have made this all justifiable. A lackluster "return" to Binalternators.

I have to say, I am very happy with the figure's paint job. The pearlescent white just looks very nice, and the pink accents are enough, but not too much. Your mileage may vary, of course. It's about as feminine as the Overdrive mold was, which is to say, it could be viewed either way, really. It'd be a pretty butch chick, sure, but, well, she is a warrior woman, right?

I have to agree on the head, it's about as feminine as the inside of a woodchipper. So it does lose a few points there. But otherwise, it's really nicely done.

I begrudgingly got her because I try hard to be a Binaltech/Alternators completist (I even have more than one of each of most molds just to have both robot & car modes to display).

The sick thing is; after opening, Transforming and having a good look at BT Arcee, I actually really like the toy (she kinda does look feminish enough to me). Maybe it's the pearl white metallic paint job... however, this has no baring on my taste with real women.
