BT-18 Rijie/Clear Mirage

    OK, I've never started a review thread but here goes:

    First impression is... GREAT! If you liked Alt Mirage you're going to love this one. Platstic has a slightly more fragile feel to it than his Alt counterpart but he is still a great figure. Joints seem to be a little bit tighter on BT-18 than on my Alt Mirage, who has only been transformed once from car to robot, and once again for these photos. Not sure what else to say about him, he seems identical to the alt except that he's clear, lol, and the blue plastic used to make his hands and arm joints is a darker shade than the Alt. version. I'm not sure how it is is comparison with the BT version though as I don't have one of those.

    Man i cant wait until mine gets here.

    So he dosn't come with a card, damn.

    Also the the blue looks alittle shiny.

    No card as far as I can tell, I didn't open up my instructions though, I used my Alt Mirage instructions. I did bend the platic baggie a little bit and didn't feel anything that gave enough resistance to be anything other than paper... sorry :(

    Is the box the same size as the old Binaltech box? The plastic enclosure seems to suggest it is, but the box seems elongated in some pictures.

    The box is roughly the same size as his car mode, I don't have any other BTs for a size comparison on the boxes, but it does look strangley enlongated in that one pic... *shrugs* weird.

    Binal Tech 18 Rijie

    Got him this afternoon.

    He is definitely my most favorite BT now despite the lack of diecast metal. But I gladly trade that for the translucency.

    I literally can't think of a bad thing to say about him at all.

    nice! I think you're the first to actually open up clear mirage. congrats! I only have the alternators mirage version and its my favorite too!

    That's definatly a very cool Alt/BT Mirage!.. er sorry.. Rijie. Probably never be able to get one, but very cool none-the-less.

    After seeing the ebay prices, I'm soo glad I pre-ordered him. This is looking to be E-Hobby Anime Astrotrain all over again.

    Got mine last week, sooo nice. Got some pics of mine side by side with Alt. Mirage here. *cough* :D  *cough*

    The box is the same width and depth for stacking, but it about an inch shorter in height.

    an extremely cool toy which is actually just a variant of a released character/mold which im grateful for not having the urge to drop dollops of money for.

    Eh I'll never understand the fanaticism over clear figures. Especially the ones that aren't even colored. Granted some of the figures like the clear Galaxy Convoy look pretty neat, this Mirage just looks bland IMO. And yes, I do understand it's supposed to emulate Mirage's ability to become invisible.

    Although I don't like the line, there are a few that sure do look good, this mould is a good one, and clear makes it better with Mirage in mind, almost makes me want to forget that I returned every single one I bought because I just don't like them...stupid good looking pictures!
