How much do they go for these days? how much was it when it first came out? Is it worth getting? How rare is it?

$180 seems to be around the going rate. I shopped around before buying mine from TF Source. They still have some and he's one of my favorite TF's.

It's rare enough to warrant high prices, and the e-hobby exclusivity only adds to that matter.

Original price depends, I think it retailed for around 5500 yen or so. Typical pre-order price was in the range of 80-120 USD, with prices having settled at around 180-200 USD for now.

I preordered mine the day it went up. I think it was $74.99 something like that. Now it's around $180-200 bucks. He is worth it though, awesome figure. He is a BT which where produced in less numbers to begin with I think, and on top of that he's an e-hobby exclusive. So, yeah, he's pretty limited. I wouldn't say rare, but i would definitely say very limited.

For those that have it, do you display it at all? in car mode or in bot mode? which look better?

I was just wondering how limited is limited, seems like almost everyone's got one, which is why I wonder if it's worth paying way over the original price. Kinda like Nemesis Prime through Hasbro Toy Shop....

Thanks to everyone that replied BTW :)

I don't know if there's any way to know how many of these figures are produced, because eHobby sells as many as preordered, unless it's stated as "limited number" at the preorder (like the BT-18 set with RM Rijie).

I guess there is a minimum production number, though, seeing they have Laser Ultra Magnus on clearance. Poor guy doesn't get much love :(

Ya he's in that $180-200 range.

I would try and display it as less as one could. Reason is clear figures are extremely vulnerable and light sensitive and discolor easily.

When the originally preordered it was $70 bucks, I think. Then some online stores upped that preorder price. Why? I don't know. I'm glad I got mine for the first price mentioned, though.

Shortly after it's release, I saw prices at $250. But I haven't checked lately, I'm assuming it's at what everyone else said it's at.
