Any member who has not received confirmation of a refund, shipping item or been given a timetable on either of these things should file a Paypal claim (if applicable). I urge you to start using email's to contact this person instead of the forums.
I also did trade (ultimate bumblebee) plus $300 paypal for some items. I sent and paid on the 31st of August and have been given the runaround by being told that the item will ship the next day (It hasnt). I've never had a problem on this site and I hope I can edit this post once I receive the items that I paid for or a full refund with the return of my ultimate bumblebee.
I have used the email provided by paypal to contact this person with no reply. Edit: Just got a reply from the email address provided by PayPal, stating that "my refund is processing and to please allow 3-5 business days to complete"...only problem is, there is no refund processing in my account..
Could a mod please put BruticusMax info/name/address into the deadbeat list so that others might avoid him if he/she changes their name?
Just spoke with him and he refunded my money. He had a tree fall on his house during the hurricane that hit the east coast. He lost most of his collection. After speaking with him I realized that due to things beyond his control he was not able to fill some orders. If anyone is reading this he is someone to trust and will always settle his debts.
Just got half of my money back and will receive the other half on October 1st. Circumstances out of his control forced a delayed refund but he did everything that he could . He told me that he has refunded most people, and will continue refunding until all his debts are paid. Anyone on this board would dedicate themselves to helping one's family in times of crisis. I fully vouch for BruticusMax to have his ban from TFW2005 lifted. I will update again on October first when I am fully refunded. EDIT: still have not gotten the rest of my money.
I received my refund. I'm happy I got my money back. I fully understand and have compassion for anyone who has had a terrible thing happen to them. However, I must say he did himself no favors with his choice of communication and constant 'It will go into the mail tomorrow' and then not ever sending it. If he lost the item in the hurricane why wouldn't he say that rather than keep telling me the item would ship tomorrow, monday or tuesday, then never emailing saying he hadn't gotten it out. In the end I'm happy I received my refund, but I would still caution doing business with the guy. I'm not saying don't do it....just that you need to be informed.
BruticusMax issued me a complete refund, plus an additional small amount as compensation which he refused when I attempted to return it to him. As far as I am concerned, he has made good with me. He mentioned that he still has a few people left to contact in regards to refunds, I hope very much everyone gets theirs. I have no reason to believe you will not.
I too am out 85 dollars at the mo. Waiting for a response on email. I hope I can edit this later with good news.
Just to let you know, I have got my money back. My credit card company came through via a chargeback. Still no contact from Bruticusmax, however. I imagine he felt idiots like me who naively paid through gift were not a priority. Lesson learned. Hopefully others might be able to do the same. Good luck.
anyone else want to join a list to file a police complaint he never sent my item owed to me and is ignoring my phone calls he lives in virginia if anyone is going to be near as well
Never did get my money back or the items I paid for. The phone number in the deadbeats list says "this mailbox is not in service"
Still have not received the remaining $180 that he owes me. Please contact me if he still owes you money.
