Now that I have a bit more time I can do this right. First off Thanks to PorkChopKB, autobotx23, frenzy_rumble, thyvipera, mstyger87, everyone at kidbash, and so many other who have built Bruticus or just kept me wanting to work on this monster for the last 4 months. I set out to build a version of Bruticus like no other. First off All the 'cons are Voyager class so the size and detail was pretty tricky. I wanted to capture how Bruticus always seemed to me. Gigantic, brutal, and powerful beyond belief. I figured that a combiner that took the Autobots and Decepticons to take down deserved at least a 24 inch tall toy to represent him He is fully poseable: Head 360 ball joint, Shoulders 360, Waist 360, knees bend and 360, Elbows bend and 360, Hands 360, only thing not poseable is the ankles. The molds used were: Onslaught- Universe Onslaught Swindle- Crossover Captain America Blast-Off- Cybertron Evac Vortex- Universe Blades Brawl- Universe Dropshot I decided against trying to reshell Brawl because the Cybertron Defense Scattershot mold is one of my absolute favorites...and missile pods are at least as cool as a turret...right? Everyone but Onslaught got new heads. My first attempt at sculpting...so be gentle. This bad boy required parts from 2 Unicrons, G1 Bruticus, Primus, kidbash Roadbuster Upgrade (check it out kidbash-store — Roadbuster) several gundams....and whatever else I could dig up in my boxes of goodies. The joints are a combination of Neodymium Magnets and Neo shifters. This thing is as sturdy as can be. The giant cannons on Bruticus' back are called Sioce Cannons...that's right baby. (Thanks Bao!) The decals are from reprolabels. All of the painting is Tamiya and Testors Model Masters paints...with Krylon Fusion Satin Black as an undercoat. I always prep all my figures by cleaning them in a light alchohol bath, then with hot soapy water, then clean water, then let them dry overnight. Then several light coats of Fusion are applied to keep it from getting caked on. Then off to town on colors and details. The color was all applied by hand (cramp much?!?) as well as all the details, using the smallest brush I could find. The Head is from ptitvite. I rebuilt it to make it larger. There was nothing wrong with his...just a wee bit small for a voyager Bruticus. Nothing much else to say.
