Hi, I would like to by the Bruticus with fansproject kit: is fantastic! But there are more than one version...for example:

    1) Transformers 2 ROTF Combiner Bruticus New Sealed | eBay

    which is this one:
    Nota di reindirizzamento amp;h=500&ei=hhJ-T7eOAZDcsgbL9LCsDg&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=1373&vpy=503&dur=124&hovh=259&hovw=194&tx=107&ty=144&sig=109423400041786190960&page=3&tbnh=150&tbnw=132&ndsp=56&ved=1t:429,r:7,s:117,i:85

    and

    2) Nota di reindirizzamento resources/attach/4/0/5/9/7/Bruticus_1274637807.jpg&w=810&h=982&ei=hhJ-T7eOAZDcsgbL9LCsDg&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=1109&vpy=517&dur=292&hovh=222&hovw=185&tx=87&ty=103&sig=109423400041786190960&page=3&tbnh=150&tbnw=129&ndsp=56&ved=1t:429,r:5,s:117,i:81

Both are very expensive...but perhaps I have found the second at a better price...

    what do you suggest?

    thanks!

The second one is the Japanese Superlink version, I sort of doubt that it'd be cheaper than the ROTF one.

To answer your question, my Bruticus uses the Energon figures and I am really happy with how he looks. Bear in mind that the gray parts will not be color-matched (they were matched to the ROTF version), which is especially noticeable in Onslaught's upgraded vehicle mode.

If you're going more for a G1 look, then the ROTF color scheme will work.

However, with the Energon color scheme, that's more suited for a "Battle Gaia" look in my opinion.....in which case, you'd be hunting down those two cancelled TFTM figures if that was your goal.

Both look decent. I like the ROTF color scheme myself :)

Not sure how the ROTF one is more G1 when the ROTF Onslaught has no similarities whatsoever in paint scheme to the G1 Onslaught?

Its the overall look man. But if you wanna nit pick on each individual part of Bruticus, then sure.

I have the ROTF version, and in my opinion, it is the best version to get.

But with that said, what really makes this set badass is the FansProject add-ons. If you already have the FP Munitioner and Explorer add-on kits, just go ahead and grab whichever Bruticus parts you can find.

If you aren't completely satisfied with the overall look once you get him all pieced together, then you can decide to go out and hunt down whatever parts you would like to replace.

In the end, if you really want this set to look as FP intended, drop the extra cash for the ROTF version. But if the price is just too steep, the other Energon/SuperLink bots are still a kickass compromise.

    Forgot to post a pic...

You've got some options here, and that's the beauty of this set. These pictures are a bit older, but here are a few pics of some of my Bruticii just showing some different schemes:

Because everytime someone asks about the variations of Bruticuii, TJ throws the pics in :p  so if you don't want to be tempted make sure no one asks, because you will find it in every topic.

    LOL.

That's just a lie sir. If you haven't noticed, I stay away from most Bruticus topics nowadays. I posted these because I hadn't in a while.
