I was kinda disappointed in My Name Is Bruce. I thought the idea was much funnier than the actual execution. I'll still give this a chance, but my expectations are severely tempered.

The only thing I enjoyed about My Name is that they seemed to nail Campbell's dry sarcasm. Other B movies have tried that on Sci Fi, but they end up just repeating old Army of Darkness lines or scenarios. This one delivered some new lines an scenarios. The movie itself was just ok.

I hear ya on that. I've always been a big Campbell fan. Bubba Hotep gave me more b-movie fun than May Name is Bruce. But it seems like he's going the Bubba-themed route with this next flick.

Bubba Ho-tep > My Name is Bruce, but Bruce Vs Frankenstein still gets my interest.

Bubba was awesome, it really was (and one of his best performances), but I like Bruce's worst performances, and Ho-tep was enjoyed too much in Austin, which is a major Turn-off. Trust me on this one ;)

The ending to My Name is Bruce cracked me up. You could see it coming, and it came (that's what she... *GUNSHOT!*). I just find that hilarious in its own way. The movie did seem to try too hard on some parts.

I couldnt finish watching Bubba Ho-Tep at the time, it seemed to be an extremely despressing movie. Ill give it a 2nd chance though.

    I trust you.

While the subject matter is itself depressing, I could not find anything but entertainment in a movie where Elvis and JFK are alive in a nursing home and they have to fight a mummy.

    TCB, baby. TCB.

Campbell might be getting on in years, but he should still be able to take some victorian-age scientist dude.

Frankenstein's monster, on the other hand...

Meh, I could see this being good if they stay away from lame plot developments like those that plagued My Name Is Bruce. I'd probably still watch it either way.
