I have been working with a company (Toystages.com) doing backdrops lately, and as part of their next release, there are a ton of G1 influenced backgrounds. I got to keep a bunch of them, but I haven't gotten them all into the displays yet, here's the ones I did. There are even ones made to fit both Expedits and Detolfs, and they work in series (all of the backdrops have this size as well) This is the Teletran-1/Ark interior sets put together. I'm working on getting less toys in front of them by rearranging them a bit so you can see the background better. Excuse the flash in the pics, I wanted to capture how nice the artwork is. They are incredibly high quality, and very sturdy.
A one time I really wanted to have G1 backgrounds for my classic collection, but the realities of display space reared its ugly head.
they're not that much of a space taker? just simply put behind the figures, you don't have to fold them out like that
(it's a crappy pic, but it gets the point across) My setup has space at a premium. I'd have to take a hobby knife to make the backdrops fit and fold into place... and that'd be a real shame.
there are a couple smaller sizes that you could use, i do like how you have them though, nice and clean with the black
Oh. So the folding is optional? I would rather have them flat against the back glass, or even behind it. I need full coverage for my Detolfs. Not that small gap at the top. Hopefully there is a perfect size for Detolfs.
Toy Stages they will be up for sale in the next couple weeks problem with that is that the detolf's shelves are all different heights and the shelf bars will come down into it, with the bigger gap, they look more uniform across the back than if they were tall enough to touch the top of one of the shelves.
