See, that's how I was with Lucas and the Star Wars prequels, and he pretty much let me down every time. So I'm gonna be on the heavy skeptical side this time.

I would immediately just say B.S. and move on, but I have a feeling the statement is actually true, since it would be hard for there to be more bedlam than there was in ROTF. The implication that it'll be more robot character-driven I don't buy for a second.

Well excuse me if I don't hold my breathe. After the mess they caused with ROTF, I'll just wait o see if the proof is in the pudding.

Fool me twice, shame on me. I fully expect my childhood to be targeted for sloppy seconds.

    Epic facepalms.

As Sol or Kickback or one of them has said, this film will follow the same damn formula, particularly the last thing I mention on my below list-rant.

    There'll be a MacGuffin.
    There'll be dumbass jokes.
Many useless human scenes ala Sam's college and Glenn's house.
Prime will act like his only human friend is Sam.
    There'll be a useless character.
All Decepticons besides Megatron and Starscream will die.
    Most Decepticons won't even talk.
The voice actors will not get any recognition besides Peter Cullen (believe me, I love the guy, but I'd love to see Jess Harnell and Robert Foxworth out there)
And, one or two characters will be screentime whores like the Twins and Frenzy.

Well, maybe so-and-so's right, maybe Hasbro's put their foot down about crude jokes and criticism from ROTF.

lol I hope you don't have money running on that bet, cause it'd never going to happen.
People who hate Bay are always going to hate whatever he does, even if it's decent enough, it's still going to be a Bay film.
Even coming from someone like me who likes a lot of the things about the films, I can't deny ROTF was a bad movie. I may not think it was the most horrible thing ever, but it was bad.

True dat. Even if I've lost faith in the films, I still love the toys.

I'd like more flashbacks to cybertron, it'd be interesting to see what came before they left.

BTW I enjoyed ROTF, it was a popcorn flick and I did go and see it more than once and Skids and Mudflap did make me laugh and most people I talked to enjoyed it.

I just think that Bay's film style is more suited to a story like "Last stand of the Wreckers" where there's build up then solid action rather than the films he is doing which feel they need to focus upon human characters instead of outright on the alien robots.

Does michael Bay know that the word "mythology" does not mean a female (or male) body part?

I've just found my faith in the films lost after ROTF. Who knows, maybe the low expectations many of us have now will make TF3 seem better than it most likely will be

Actualy I'd say that whoever said "yay new awesome toys" was more realistically positive, because on that part, nobody can question, movie designers and hasbro dudes are doing a top-notch job, even Bay get's a little credit for choosing the best designs outta the concept art bucket.
