Awesome news bro! I'll give you a call tomorrow. I didn't wanna bug you today with everything that was going on. I saw my dad break down also when my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. I think its our jobs as the kids to keep it together for our moms and pops. Role reversal and all that. When we're little kids we go cry to them and they tell us everything will work out. We're in that stage of our lives where we do that for them now. We'll be in touch bruthaman.

Damn, man, I'm so sorry too hear that. My sister-in-law's mother has survived a mastectomy and breast cancer now for over three years.

Your family will be in my prayers.

Wonderful news Kicks! Here's to a most speedy recovery for your mum, and to the hurt heatrs of your family. I know how bad it is wanting to be there to help someone but you just can't really do anything. Looks like reinforcements were called in :)

Just be happy and thankful, and much luck with her lab tests.

That was touching, my friend. I told you about my mother having passed away years ago, and I......I'm crying right now just thinking about it and thinking of your pain too.....I'm so sorry, I feel you.

    Irony?
Keep your head in the game, man. She may be in dire straights, but I'm sure she still has a world of love for you. Don't insult that love by drinking your worries away. I realize your mom's situation is at a different phase by now, and I hope you are too - a better one. I'm not trying to sound harsh or critical; just trying to give you as hard a push as I can with me not knowing you and this being the internet and all. I hope the best for your mom, you, and everyone who cares about her.

My mom's side of the family is pretty much all alcoholics. My mom has her moments from time to time, and what can I say, I take after my mom. Shoot, the first thing she asks when the nurse offered her something to drink was "Coors Lite, and make sure those mountains are fucking dark blue!". Cracked me up.

But I understand where you're coming from, resorting to any type of stimulant to supress or stimulate a feeling or emotion during an emotional exhausting time is never a good idea, but at the same time, I have a circle of friends who I trust with my life, and they'd be the first ones to slap me across the face if they felt it was passing the threshold from "taking the edge off" to "need it to keep going".
