So I've gotta watch one of these flicks tonight and write a paper on it.

"After watching the movie, write a short paper (3-5 pages) analyzing some aspect of the film characters' social development. Use the psychological theory and research from the course as a framework in which to understand the social development of the children in the movie. Thy to make connections between the characters and their experiences with ideas we have read or discussed in class."

So which one you guys think I should do?

I think "Stand By Me" would be a better choice for that particular paper.

Of the two I would rather watch Stand By Me, but that's because it's not so obviously 1980's if ya know what I mean. Gads I can't stand 1980's fasion and pop music.

I would choose Stand By Me for the subject of your paper. Its got a better storyline, as opposed to The Breakfast Club, which honestly falls more into the grounds of a good-time teen movie, like Better Off Dead or the host of other movies starring the likes of Molly Ringwald, John Cusack, or Anthony Michael Hall.

I would go with Breakfast Club since the age group in that film was older and probably easier to relate to.

It doesn't get more psychological than high school kids.

The final passage by Anthony Michael Hall is priceless.
