I was just thinking about the humans being offspring of Unicron. This could be a way of explaining why Silas and Breakdown merging could be more natural than anyone realizes at this point. Maybe Jack or some other human characters will merge with an Autobot down the road. Hotshot looks like Bumblebee and Raf ;) . Your thoughts?

Not to be sarcastic at all.

How does Hot Shot look like Bumblebee and Raf?

And I am 96.4598% sure that humans aren't the offspring of Unicron. That's basically saying that Earth gave birth to humans.

If I'm being short-sighted, someone please explain to me.

Too complicated. For this show, it will be a much simpler topic.

Is Unicron tied to Transformer creation? That could make things... weird.

*sigh* Such potential, Breakdown. Now you're just another MacGuffin in a series full of them.

There's a gland in my brain that releases adrenaline whenever people talk about Breakdown like all his arcs are done. It motivates me to give the same reasoning here as I have elsewhere.

Breakdown is dead, and that's something we can all agree on: at least, those of us who have gone through the five stages of grief: Denial, Anger, Blame, Depression, and Acceptance That MECH Cannot Revive Dead Bodies. What people can't agree on is everything else; from the circumstances of his death to where his body's gonna go.

I can tell you one thing though: his death was neither wasted potential not an abrupt end to his story. He died. We all do. People hoping for some touching, all ends resolved end to every character's life can go sit back in the "Denial" stage of grief, because that's not how war works. But, much akin to terrorists making a hilarious puppet out of a dead G.I., the enemy siezed his body for experiments and explicitly hinted that Breakdown's body, at the least, would be back on-camera.

He's not over, even though his life is. Maybe putting a little faith into the supposed knuckle-draggers that write Prime might come through when Breakdown comes back and hammers the non-believers in the gut.

Humans children of Unicron? Da fuck? Also Raf and Bee don't look like Hotshot, just saying.

As I have said multiple times, we should firstly remember this is a fictional story, so it's goddamned obvious people will want some closing to their favorite character, killing him off in a meaningless way might be more realistic under a certain light, BUT is it better for the story? Hell. No.

If we follow this logic, why don't we show Optimus tripping and impaling himself with his own sword next week. Permanently dying. After all, that's how War works.

And as I said once, real-life has both abrupt deaths with no meaning, and powerful last moments that will never be forgotten.

Body. They pretty much wrote on our foreheads that Breakdown's spirit is gone forever, and when you consider this show's habit of never bringing the dead back, we have a real problem.

It's basically like being happy that Skyquake is back because Dreadwing is here.

Partly MacGuffin, part excuse to make Airachnid look cool.

Prime didn't make a good decision.

I'd rather have a totally new character rather than a named character if ever that happens. If ever it happens, I think it should result in a totally new character.

Also, they should keep it as a rare occurence. It loses a lot of uniqueness if it's used to much.

    Exactly.

This is not real life. It is a TV show. A narrative. Killling a character without resolving or even expanding on his previously established history is just flat out bad writing no matter how you slice it.

The show wouldn't have the guts to do that. If it did, I'd have to move the series up several classes in my opinion of it.

I would be more content with a random no-name Vehicon offs him with a lucky shot that blows his head off.
