brawl is called devastator in the move. why is the toy called brawl?
He was originally called Devastator in the script. The name change basically didn't make it through the editing process, since he's such a minor character. No biggie, except what are they going to call the constructicon gestalt in Transformers 2 now? I supposed Bruticus would still work....
why did they still call the toy that.
he's still brawl, apparently they're fixing it for the dvd release. apparently michael bay was really pissed the subtitlers fucked that one up
it's an Continuity error.
I saw someone on another board say that Jazz refers to the tank in question as "Brawl" out loud. Can anyone confirm this?
Nice to know they realized the error. This is really the only glitch I came across. Small stuff to me.
Yes, Jazz does refer to him as Brawl verbally.
Was kinda pissed at the error....
I didn't even know Brawl was going to be in the movie. I have seen the line-up for over a year and he was never mentioned. I practically jumped out of my seat.
He was never in the trailers or leaked footage, but he was always in the line up. There were several leaked pics of the crew unloading him from a truck in one of the movie set pieces.
I was actually surprised at how much screentime he had though.
I very clearly remember seeing the tank a long long time ago, back when people were speculating that he was actually Megs, but after that, nothing. I never saw him in any of the line-ups, but honestly, it was kinda nice to have a surprise like that.
Even in a live-action movie, there can be an error. Just like the Unicron Trilogy had its shares of errors. And trust me, there's a LOT of it.
he's def in it the humans had fun taking him down.
Oh yeah and one of his arms (I think the left arm) was shot off! Ironic since the deluxe version of the toy has some problems with its arms! XD
Ratchet sawed it off with his chainsaw
Oh man...the eyes you young ones have...utter amazing! XD
I guess you never saw the character model sheet showcasing his abillities and ALT mode for the movie then.
I liked when Ratchet and Jazz gave Brawl all they had.
That was a great scene.
Pretty much every movie made has errors. Film making is no easy task by any means, things go wrong
