Your probably not going to find one under $500. If you do it would be a stroke of good faith but for kids playing with a $500. toy well, if it gets broke you got a really good paper weight it is harder to get parts for those then a vintage Fort max believe me I know.

I pieced together a Fort Max once for Four Hundred. (Sadly had to let him go at Six. Bills, who needs 'em?) I have got to say YOU must be the coolest parent, because the only ways a kid would play with my Fort or Brave, is to keep their mitts off a Grand Maximus, or if they moved beyond the crashy crashy type play.

My son is astonishingly really good with his toys. I have one of those bench top tool bins that have small and large containers and each bit has its own container with his weapons and instructions and he always puts his toys back and takes really good care of them. I can't afford a fort max, so I was thinking brave max instead. I recently gave him metroplex and he thinks metroplex is the absolute coolest because he's so big, which got me thinking about a brave max for either his birthday or Xmas. He's got just about all the g1 pre headmasters, I can only think of 10 or so he doesn't have, and since it's his favorite I'm running out of options for birthday/Xmas gifts. Yes, I'm fine with buying an Xmas gift in feb, lol.

I've got one with the box, but you probably wouldn't want to pay my price. It's minty as it's only been used for display and I am the original owner. The box is in decent shape, and has been in my closet for several years.

I'd need to get $850 to let it go (so long as you live in the US). Shipping with tracking would be included in that price.

Yea, sorry, that's way too much. I can get one MISB on eBay for $800, so paying 850 for MIB doesn't make any sense. I don't want to spend more than 500.

I totally understand. They can go for $1000 and more, but sometimes they do get down as low as $600 or so.

Good luck finding one for under $500.

You MIGHT be able to put together an incomplete G1 Fort Max for your $500... If you left out the pricey easily lost bits. Figure you buy a decent body, Cerebros, the arm ramps so it looks good in city mode and then that KO Spike that pops up all over - you might be able to do that. You wouldn't get a box, or the large guns, Gasket, Grommet, etc - but he'd still have an impressive toy. And you could have a lot of fun completing it together over time.

If you absolutely have to have a box or complete one though, that wouldn't fly.

The good news is its almost march. I'm in no hurry. One guy on eBay had a brave max MISB with replica Cog and he said he'd take 700 for it. No one was biting on his auction, so I think if I'm patient, I'll find the right deal. I think in this economy there are more sellers than buyers.

If anyone sees something or wants to sell, send me a PM.

Still looking for a brave max. They are selling on eBay for 500-550 and most have fort max repro big guns. I'm willing to pay 500 shipped(US 03032) for one that is complete and in excellent condition, preference is with ones that has the repro big guns.

If you want more than 500, you won't get it from me unless it also comes with a repro cog figure.

Bought a MISB Brave max on eBay. I don't really need it MISB because I want to open it and play with it, so I'm thinking about reselling it and buying a MIB version. So, for now, still looking.

Still would like to pick up a MIB brave max. I was able to buy a MISB for a good price but I don't need it to be sealed so if I can sell that for a little bit of profit it will help control the cost of the brave max MIB.
