Long story short, I need to figure up the shipping for Brave Max but my scale tops out at 5 lbs. Anyone know how much this big boy weighs?

Got a Wii Fit? You can use that to weigh stuff.

Hop on your bathroom scale, weigh yourselves, then set him down on the toilet and weigh yourself alone. Subtract.

Make sure the lid is down.

don't do that the wii fit will tell him he's fat and give him self confidence issues, and a serous case of depression :p

No wii fit, and he doesn't really weigh enough to set off my bathroom scale (it's an old school one, not digital). I hate to box him up and take him down to the post office just to have them weigh it.

I guessed it at about 10 lbs, I guess as long as I don't screw him over I can eat the difference if it's a little more

Yeah, mine's analog as well, and I weigh my dog this way. The other thing with Max, even if you had a digital scale, the box would cover the display!

    Anyway, 10 lb. seems right.

I shipped one in December of 2008 to a member here and just looked at my records. The Brave Max was 16 pounds shipped for me. That was the total including the box for Brave Max, some bubble wrap, a larger box for the entire thing, and some smaller packaging to cushion the BM box.

Is it loose or with box?

without any shipping packaging a loose Max is about 10lbs. Then just add the weight of all your packaging materials and ta-da.
